On diets and weight loss

Today is Day 1 of the South Beach Diet Phase I. Already had breakfast, planned out the rest of the day.

Breakfast
1/2 cup egg whites
2 tbs diced red and green bell pepper
1 Shiitake mushroom, diced
1/2 wedge of Light Laughing Cow Original Swiss

Made in a mug at work. It was surprisingly tasty.

good luck! Your goal weight is the same as mine. Chris told me that part of why I gained weight since I met him is that being in a stable relationship does that to you haha. I'm trying to eat smaller meals throughout the day, which includes more fruit. We'll see where that takes me...

I've heard the same thing. I definitely think it's true. When I was dating, I was careful of what I ate so that he wouldn't think I was a pig. Now I know he knows I am, hahah.

Oh fruit, how I miss thee...

Yeah, Mediterranean diet is going to work for me much better in the long run.

So true! My goal is the same as yours as well. I am trying to eat most of my meals at home and to just snack on fruits and veggies. I've also found it very helpful to write everything down but I've been lazy the past couple of days.

May I ask why you chose the South Beach diet? I don't know much about it.
