Why does everything that you do have to come with a condition, a prize? Really don't understand how some people can be so self-centred. Would it really kill you if you don't get anything from putting in that little more effort

I agree with that totally YAM! :) but I guess people are often too obsessed with the final results that they forget that the process is more fulfilling to their lives. I think getting awards and prizes are just there to give you the sense of accomplishment that all your efforts were paid off in the end:)
