Brianna had shut her journal and gone on patrol. She carried her lightsaber on her belt, eyepatch tucked into a utility pouch. It had been growing back slowly over the course of the month, a strange and painful process that had involved a great deal of mucus and tears. But now it was like it had never been gone.
She saw clearly. What would happen... she put her trust in the Force. Whether or not it was fictional, it was there for her, and she would let it guide her footsteps. The Force said that death would not come today... but she did not need the Force to tell that people were terrified. It meant that she still had a job to do, and so she went on patrol. Though many had gone to the Wilderness, many had also remained in their homes. Home was familiar. There were chores to do and beds to hide under.
Two years and five months. People met, people lost, death, life, mistakes made and lessons learned... so many lessons. She hoped she would remember.

When everything was falling apart, clearly the answer was to eat. Specifically, it was to eat brunch with the precious people you could. Gai had made pancakes, carefully sticking to the recipe this time except that he added a touch of cinnamon. While a spice, it should be more or less acceptable, he figured.
For once, Gai was only on time. Being too early would probably just be annoying, really, and so he cheerfully knocked on the door of the Mantwins' house, resisting any temptation to use the window.

Bell Kakashi intended to be late, but Gai's noise in the kitchen had woken him up and forced him out of bed and to the shower earlier than planned. He still had lazed about in his robe and pretended to be indifferent to visiting the mantwins and the rest of their little family for lunch. The way the Sphere had been acting lately, it felt like things were tumbling towards something soon, something Kakashi was not sure he was ready for, and having this rare get-together felt like it was reaffirming that fear.
Gai had already left by the time Kakashi headed out, scarf wrapped up snugly around himself. The landscape of the Sphere looked new each day, more tattered, like an unraveling knit. He didn't like it. But if something was going to happen, he did want to see his family friends comrades before it happened.
"You could have waited for me," he said, coming up to the door behind Gai. Unlike his partner, Kakashi came without any food offering.

Simon groggily awoke from where he lay after suddenly falling unconscious upon finding himself in the Wilderness. He'd barely had time to look around before dropping off to sleep.
He wasn't sure how much later it was, but looking around, things were decidedly different now. Trembling slightly, he sat up, looking down at himself, barely taking any of it in, the realization slowly creeping in that there were things in his mind that DEFINITELY weren't there before.
He remembered things in Edensphere he'd forgotten. The fire. His throat being slit by a giant mantis when he died. Serenity- no, Kaylee having been here. It was all back

Grandpa.
She remembered his face, that obnoxious har har har whenever he cracked one of his awful jokes, the way the corners of his mustache lifted when he smiled, the chips of flint in his eyes when things were grim. She waved as he left on the meteor and screamed when he left her forever... no. not forever.
Drakenvale... no one has ever returned.
Guess we'll be the first who do!
Syldra's spirit says she wants to help you, Faris...
Say, where's that spry old fellow?
So many faces and places... a glowing red trench beneath the sea, a castle suspended in bottomless sky, a field of stars at the end of the world... and then light. Light and the most beautiful thing in the world, the sight of towns and people being put right back where they belonged...
Flowers. See you, Grandpa.
What are you talking about? You're not alone...Krile sat up and looked around. It looked like everyone was waking up, too. She smiled and sniffed loudly, wiping her eyes on her sleeve. "So that's how it ended," she said quietly. "It didn't." Whether she

Hawk would have chosen to wait in the Wilderness, but he could not simply leave the Tree and the people who lingered. He'd sworn an oath, and it still bound him
