As rarely as he ventured in, he still wasn't fond of going. Shopping didn't suit him, and it held the rather high risk of running in to Bastet, which always proved to be awkward at the very least...even if he had been thankful for her help during the zombie invasion. But when he walked in, sure enough, there she was. He casually nodded to her in greeting, but fairly quickly went on about his business, heading straight for the section he was after.

Part of that was her fault, but she'd just needed the space...and after a while, it just became easy to miss him, since their social circles didn't overlap. Neither of them wrote in the journal all that often, so there'd been few opportunities to bridge the seemingly-widening gap between them.
Well, if he didn't want to talk, she wouldn't force it on him. Once he'd made his choices, she'd just ring him up and send him on his way.

As he thumbed sifted through the warmer men's clothing, he found something he liked. He pulled it out and looked at it--sure enough, it looked to be his size. Well this was good at least. In and out. No fuss. He didn't even feel the need to try it on, surely it would fit.
He made his way up to the counter and pulled out his coin pouch as he set the sweater on the counter. Looking up with an easygoing smile. "Hey. How's it going?"

Well, she hadn't expected him to try to make conversation; if he was making the effort, she could do so in return. "You're looking healthier than last time I saw you." He'd had the flu during the zombie attack, which was why she'd sought him out during the evacuation. She'd even given him Mugen in an attempt to make sure he'd stay in the Wilderness.

He toyed with the little coin pouch a bit before putting it in his coat pocket, then continued to mess with it with both his hands in his pockets. For some stupid reason he hadn't worn his gloves today. Perhaps it was because he hadn't planned to go to the range, and he associated wearing them with shooting. Strange that he wouldn't think to wear them when it was snowing like a normal person would, but he shrugged it off.
"Nice dress," he said, with a slight change of topic. For once he had rather wished he had been effected by the sphere's strange clothing sense. Everything was so cool.
