Part of Koi expected to rush into panic at the sight and the chaos, but for some reason, he was calm. Tensed, yes, and fighting against the sorrow - but calm. As if he was used to insanity like this. Used to take control.
Rushing out, he started to look for people that needed help, doing his best to avoid the flames. Fight for life. Nothing else mattered. Buildings collapsed and when he looked back he noticed that the tea shop was on fire. Moving forward, Koi had to jump over a burning body on the street, rushing past without a second look. Too late to be saved. Next person, don't look back.
Will. Geranium. Kazahana - no, Kazahana had her sword. It made ice, didn't it? Bastet... she would take control. Blood. There were children here! Children burning. The thought made his heart ( ... )

He coughed weakly, and the pain from that alone told him his ribs were broken. Great.
When Koi pushed up at the roof, the pressure lessened, and Moon used both arms to push himself forward an inch or two. If the other man could just hold the roof up long enough for Moon to drag himself out from under it, he might be able to make it.
Provided he didn't pass out first.

"Can you get out?"
If not, he had to find something to hold the lever while he pulled the trapped person out. Turning around, he looked at the child he was protecting. Good. Still safe. The boy was too small to hold the lever and Koi didn't want to risk that something fell on him if he asked him to help the other man.

His torso was out from under the wreckage, but his legs refused to cooperate and get out of the way. Probably broken, too, damnit.
Very slightly, he lifted his head up to see the short figure behind Koi. The kid, it had to be.
"Fuck!" The curse seemed to give him enough strength and Moon dragged his legs out of harm's way, crawling on his stomach like an animal. Pathetic, but he was free.

"Where are you hurt? Can you breathe?"
He couldn't get the person out of the damn suit, which meant he couldn't really help. Though he had no training on the medical field or any powers like Kazahana, it seemed like he had a clue what to do, at least. Maybe he really was as old as his memory had told him...
"I got you. We'll get you out of here... just stay with me."

But he still wasn't going anywhere till Koi told him to move.

"Chest... legs. Broken... Damnit!" Moon swore again, and had the very basic urge to curl into the fetal position, to retreat.
"Fucking place," he gasped out, still lying on his stomach on the ground as the Sphere burned around them.

He nodded softly to the man hidden in the odd suit, and then looked over at Apple again to see if he was safe. Koi wasn't sure if he should turn Moon around, but with broken ribs, lying on his stomach could only make things worse. He needed some extra hands.
Leaving the injured man's side for a moment, he walked up to Apple and crouched in front of him, gently putting his hands on the boys shoulders.
"Hey. I know things are really hard right now, but stay with me, okay? We have to help this person, so we can all go somewhere safe and quiet. Do you think you can go sit with him while I find something to aid us?"

He looked at the injured Moon and then back at Koi and then nodded slowly. It was actually a lot less scary when they didn't move and all he really wanted was for someone to tell him what to do.
He would stay put.

"Fuck this place," he muttered, resting his head on the ground. No kid should have to see something like this. His head hurt when he thought that, as if he knew firsthand. No one should have to see people die...

"Are you still with me?"
He asked softly, and crouched next to Moon again.
"I'll help you up on this, but it will hurt. Unfortunately, I could not find anything better."

Apple nodded at Koi and obediently moved so the older man could have better access to Moon without complaint.
They needed to move soon. It was getting incredibly hot.

He was ready for Koi to lift him. Moon clenched his teeth so he wouldn't scream when the time came.
Reply
It did.
Mindful of the other's legs, he then reached out and took Apple's hand.
"Now we're leaving. It will be alright."
Reply
Nothing would really be 'alright', but one had to try. The person in the suit was obviously badly shocked and perhaps hurt as well, so Koi carefully wrapped his arms around Apple, trying to life him - suit and all - to get him out of there.
They couldn't stay here.
