Sometimes, Cara really admired Lucy. Even though--because--of what had been going on, she'd decided to set up something that would (hopefully) be nothing but cheerful, for everyone. It struck a chord somewhere in Cara. She kept going when things were bad and tried to help the people around her keep their heads above water, but Lucy wasn't shy about spreading that around to the entire Sphere.

So it was with a smile on her face that she headed to Smoke's bar. Cara had never been there before, not being a drinker, but she did want to see the party. Heading inside, she looked around for Sailormoon or anyone else that she knew. Or didn't know.

Composer slipped in quietly. The mention of a party had intrigued him. Getting to meet all sorts of people...maybe he'd find some others that he'd like talking to. Still, that was a long shot. But it was better than nothing.

He straightened the ends of his sleeves, and looked around the establishment.

Shifting the birthday presents tucked under her arm, Cara started looking around for a place to put them down when she spotted someone she didn't recognize--a boy her own age, actually. Maybe he was one of the newcomers?

Well, the quickest way to find out would be to go over and say hi. So she did. "Hello!" she said, with a friendly smile on her face. Up-close, she noticed that he was one of the skinniest people she'd ever seen. "I'm Cara. Who're you?"

There's nothing wrong with socializing around the snacks.

Ghost made a beeline for the food table carrying a giant trash bag in both of his arms. Behind him, his messenger bag was being worn as a backpack and it too looked filled to capacity with...something.

With a loud thump, he dropped the trashbag on the food table, knocking over a few paper cups in the process. He breathed a sigh of relief as he reached up to untie it.

Almost immediately, pieces of candy of all sorts began spilling out onto the table.

"There. That'll last ...about an hour." He sighed and grabbed a few pieces for himself. Popping a red sucker into his mouth, he turned and looked for his roommate and the tiny hyper hurricane also known as his twin sister.

Of course, upon hearing the keywords "party" and "bar", it took no additional motivation to get Alexi to the bar. The real miracle lied in the fact that he managed to remember to bring the gifts (much less purchase them, but that was a tale for another day).

Spotting his roommate, Alexi sauntered on over to the table. His eyes landed on the massive bag, and he came to a stop. A single brow arched. "Whats de hell, Ghost? Dis ams a party, and you brings your garbage here?" Snugging both gifts in one arm, he snatched a piece of taffy tumbling down the side.

Why did a mass of candy seem familiar? Annoyingly so.

Disregarding the idle thought, he turned toward Ghost, handing him one of the presents. "Uh, here. Happy days for you." Oblivious to which box was which, he handed over the one containing a miniature set of gauntlets. The fact that he remembered at all meant something though, right?

Tearing into the place like she owned it, Blood made a beeline for the candy. Waving happily at anyone she zoomed passed, she made quick work of some taffy by showing it into her mouth in a giant ball, chewing noisily as she turned to locate her brother and roommate.

Opening her mouth to say something, all that could be seen was the multi-colored lump in her mouth moving about.

Fred frowned slightly as she pushed open the door to the bar. She wasn't really sure why she had decided to come help--only that Roswell had mentioned that morning that there was going to be a party, and that Lucy would probably need some help setting up.

She walked into the main room, looking around for someone who might be Lucy as she did. She noted absently that the bar was still the same pretty shade of pink it had been the first time she had been in there.

Lucy didn't really care about the fact that the bar was pink. She lived in a pink house after all! The girl sat cross-legged on the floor, pulling various party favours and other items out of a box. Her sense were a bit sharper that day as her full attention was needed to finish her task.

Looking up, Lucy spotted Fred and smiled broadly. "Good Morning! Come to help out?"

Fred had nothing against the color pink. In fact, she would have to see if she could get some clothing made in that color. Perhaps a coat... the idea of a pink coat appealed to her somehow.

She walked over to the woman who was pulling items out of a box. Blinking, she recognized her as the woman who had gotten hurt when Roswell found out his... difficulty with alcohol. She opened her mouth to ask how her hand was, but thought better of it. Instead she said, "Roswell said you might need help. So, erm. Here I am. To help."

Sky sat in a barstool fairly near the door so he could watch who was coming in and have a good view of the festivities. He had a soda in one hand and would occasionally sip from it, his journal open on his lap to keep an eye out for any potential crises he might be needed for as a Guard.

He hoped there wouldn't be any unwelcome surprises.

If journal theft was an unwelcome surprise, then so be it!

Lucy spotted Spike sitting at the bar with his soda and... his journal? She made her way over to the bar with a mission in mind as she made a lunge for the stoic man's journal.

"It's a party, you're supposed to have fun, Spike," she said with a smile.

Spike saw Lucy coming for him and managed to wrap one hand around his journal as soon as she grabbed it, tugging on it gently.

"Who said I wasn't having fun?" he wanted to know, returning the smile. "And having fun doesn't mean I can't still do my job."
