"Hi!" said Cara with a smile as she tugged at her bright gold-yellow robes. "I'm Cara--I don't think we have met, no," she said. She looked up at the stadium, wide-eyed. People had built something this big just to play a game? Everything was so bright and colorful--not to mention noisy.

She read the rules posted on the sign, trying to think of which position she'd be best at. Small and light, well that was her... "I think I'll try being the Seeker," she said cheerfully.

"Wait a second... Bludgers?" She frowned at the description. "Who thought those were a good idea?" She glanced back at Helios with a slight bit of worry--she didn't want him getting bashed into by one of those.

Kazahana wasn't at all sure this was a good idea-in fact, she was sure it wasn't-but Eyepatch had been bound and determined to get a game going, and that meant they needed someone to look out for the players. Besides, she rather liked Eyepatch, and she'd rather heal him on-site than wait to yell at him after he got himself killed idiotically and was reborn.

Whatever force was in charge of the Wilderness had correctly interpreted her intentions, because instead of a player's uniform, she found herself wearing something black and white when she entered the field. A referee of some sort, perhaps?

After a few minutes, she caught sight of someone else dressed similarly and made her way over to him. "Steel?" she guessed, remembering the skepticism about the game he'd expressed. "I'm Kazahana."

Is he getting pinged for a judge? XD snowburned October 1 2009, 14:39:53 UTC
She returned the handshake, still feeling odd about the gesture. Even after all this time in the sphere, her first instinct was to bow, not touch hands. But most others didn't seem to share that sentiment, so she went along with it.

"Likewise." She nodded, taking his appearance in. This one had been greeted by Phoenix-had they shared haircare tips? Steel's hair wasn't exactly spiky, but it appeared to share similar anti-gravity traits.

"Not a player, I take it?" she said. "You're smart. I don't see this ending well."

After reading over the journals, Dumbledore was feeling quite the uncomfortable ping over the mention of some game involving flying balls. He had hesitated in actually heading down there, but in the end morbid curiosity won out. Making his way down to the Wilderness, he followed others down to the pitch, unaware of how he knew the word.

As he got closer, two things stood out in his mind. The first, was that he had seen this before, the second was that he probably wouldn't be very good at it. However, he found himself in a strangely familiar red outfit, and could feel his confidence grow as he smiled slightly, waving to the others. "Um, hello, I'm Dumbledore..."

Well... this was interesting. Helios found himself dressed in red robes, also wielding a bat. According to the rule board, he'd be a Beater. Oh, that sounded fun. Helios glanced back at Cara and a grin spread over his face.

"C'mon, what's a game without a little bit of people beating balls in your direction?" Actually, it all sounded very complicated, but oh well. First he'd have to figure out how you were supposed to make a broom fly, anyway. That was just weird. He offered a nod to the people who didn't know him assembled around.

"Helios." Offered as the only introduction. They needed some more players.

Wow! The wilderness was huge today! The place reminded Apple of a coliseum but the yellow clothes he was now wearing felt strange with lots of leather padding and oh! Goggles! Just what he'd been looking for! He grinned and let his black feather wings magically appear from his forearms so he could take a quick test flight and try out his new clothes! ...But hmm maybe he should check in with Eyepatch first.

He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do with the broom--maybe they were supposed to clean up after they were finished?--but he dragged it behind him and fluttered over to the group.

"Hiya Eyepatch! This isn't going to be like twister right?" There were a few new faces for him so he waved. "Hi I'm Apple! Are you here to play too?"
