This little adventure marked her first time leaving willingly. She heard she needed to protect herself down there. So, on top of her strange power, she brought her 'namesake'.

Looking, it seemed Mako had a similar choice in weaponry, and Angel's lack thereof, it made her wonder which of them was the stranger of them. After Angel's on and off flurry of questions, she decided it was him, not that being strange was bad. Strange was not knowing why you could set things on fire without touching them.

Maybe she'd find an answer, or, at least learn how to better control it.

"I think... he meant anything unusual, or perhaps land. Right?"

AUGH, sorry! I wrote this up while LJ was having a downtime and I thought I put it up... T^T;; cloudy_memory July 4 2008, 15:45:16 UTC
Hearing Angel's answer made him realize he hadn't been expecting anything different. Angel was in fact a bit odd, but then, everyone had came from a different world, so he had to be as strange to the other as the other was to him. Thankfully, he didn't have to speak up; Baretta did for him. He only nodded in response, eyes peeled for something other than the open seas. His arms were getting a bit sore, but he felt he could go on longer anyways. He wouldn't wimp out on an expedition he'd started himself, after all. Even if it consisted of only two people, they were two people who probably looked up to him for this adventure, so he had to be setting a good example ( ... )
