Hearing Angel's answer made him realize he hadn't been expecting anything different. Angel was in fact a bit odd, but then, everyone had came from a different world, so he had to be as strange to the other as the other was to him. Thankfully, he didn't have to speak up; Baretta did for him. He only nodded in response, eyes peeled for something other than the open seas. His arms were getting a bit sore, but he felt he could go on longer anyways. He wouldn't wimp out on an expedition he'd started himself, after all. Even if it consisted of only two people, they were two people who probably looked up to him for this adventure, so he had to be setting a good example.

"Just tell me the moment you see s- ...land, and which direction to go." He would've said 'something', but 'something' was anything to Angel, wasn't it? He fell silent, listening to the waves splashing among waves, the caw of an overhead sea bird, and the stirred water from his oars. His power was noticeably less than it was in the beginning, and it was probably time for someone to take over. He figured consistency was more important than pride here. "It's your shift, Angel," he told the man, getting up and stretching his arms a bit, thanking the fact that two people had come. Repetitive injuries never did appeal to him, and his turn had reminded him why. He leaned slightly against the other side of the boat when he got there, eyes scanning the blue horizon. The ark had to be no more than a speck now. Surely they would have to find land soon...? He could only hope that one of the others was having better luck than he was.

If no one else was, Baretta was keeping a look out. She hadn't expected the trip to be that long. Everyone else made it seem like they'd gotten there in only minutes. To her, it felt like they'd been rowing for about an hour.

"How long was this supposed to take, Mako?" she asked, looking forward, even behind some sign of land.
