A WILD SERAPH APPEARS shining_bind May 21 2009, 04:41:27 UTC
It has been a rather amusing occurrence, to be approached by one of the guards. the man had run up to him, blathering on about a resident- a bear no less- forcing its way into the elevators, despite the warning not to. Perhaps it was because Seraph had guarded the elevators for so long- a few days, honestly- that he had been approached. of the guard simply didn't know where to locate (or was afraid to locate) Bastet ( ... )

Unceremoniously Forge pulled the large ant off of his back and tossed it to the ground with a wet crack at the feet of one of the guards. Most of the creature's armored carapace had been shattered in the fight with the bear. Though large and powerful they were, they simply were no match for such a heavy creature as Forge.

"Yes, a note was left where I have made my den temporarily." Peculiar as that was, he hadn't ignored it and was very glad to have taken the chance. His armor was very important, even if it did require some maintenance. He gave the armor a slight shake, which squeaked and groaned in protest to the motion. "I require blubber, or oil to cure it with." Not that he was entirely certain where he might find something like that in the tree. Otherwise he'd just keep clanking and squeaking until he did.

An eyebrow lifted as the ant cracked to the ground, one of the guards shying away. "I see. Mysterious notes are not uncommon here, though they often seem to be more perplexing than useful or tangible at all. I am glad that you were able to locate your armor, whatever shape it happens to be in."

As for blubber or oil... that could be more difficult. He folded his arms, head bowing in thought. "...Companion has written of using various oils at her spa for massage therapies, but I am not entirely sure if they would be applicable. Nonetheless, it proves that there is a supply for some kind of oil. If need be, you could always wait for the Wilderness to become something with the supplies you need, or ask if anyone has knowledge or skills in armory repair and where they receive their supplies."

He let out a short exhale, a sort of amused 'hmph' after a moment. "Do you know how such oil would be manufactured? I assume blubber would be found upon the hides of thick skinned creatures..."

In truth Forge would rather not wait, if a method of reconstituting his armor could be found quickly he would prefer it. While capable of patience, he wasn't necessarily the most patient sort.

"I prefer the use of seal blubber, it is plentiful and I can eat what I do not use." Forge doubted that there was anywhere with seals in the tree though. But if there was oil of some kind it may just have to do, even if it wasn't perfect.
