Spike came around Serenity in the early afternoon after having wandered around for a long time, his eyes slightly unfocused, looking lost. Last night he thought he was feeling a lot better, but now his mood had dipped, even after his friends' and his own repeated reassurances to himself that Scales' disappearance wasn't his fault, that there was nothing he could have done. He'd then remembered the spa, figuring that relaxation couldn't hurt- this seemed more like his kind of place to go to feel better, anyway. He stepped inside the door, looking around curiously.

Companion was still feeling somewhat lost after seeing that Scales was gone, and she hoped that on some level offering the spa's services would help ease some of the sadness and tension that was evident. Hearing the little chimes over the door go off, she made her way towards the waiting area and smiled with slightly hidden shock at the sight before her. "Spike, how are you? Welcome to Serenity." She quickly moved closer, giving him a slight hug before lightly kissing both cheeks.

"How can we help you? Would you like a massage?"

Spike was- surprised, to say the least, by the cheek kisses, and felt himself going red. However, the kind gestures made him feel slightly better, and he gave her the tiniest of smiles.

"Hi, Companion. I think a massage would be great; I'm not feeling... right... about Scales. And, you know, doing Adventuring plus Guarding can tire a body out fairly quickly." I should've done something to stop it. I should've been nicer to him. I should've, should've, should've. "Are you well? I know you and he were getting to be friends, too.."

Companion had to admit deep down that part of the reason she had kissed Spike's cheeks was because she was certain he'd blush. The other part simply wanted to.

"I know Spike, the situation with Scales has affected a lot of people. Still, we can't dwell upon that, we need to hope that he is in a better place." It was what she wanted to believe, although that didn't stop her from missing her friend. "I am...coping, really. Still, we should not speak of upsetting things. Please, follow me." Companion hoped Spike wouldn't be embarrassed if she gave him the massage.

Friday, 3ish? Enough time past to avoid people ^_^ bubble_ditz April 16 2009, 20:45:39 UTC
After yesterday's event on the journals, Bubbles felt horrendable. Not for offending half of the population of Edensphere but bad because she missed Scales already. He was a...well friend wasn't quite it. But to be honest, Bubbles still didn't know many people in the sphere and he'd been one of the first people she'd met. She'd seen his memory. They'd had ...something together. She couldn't believe he was gone, perhaps even back to that...place she'd seen. To that ghetto where everything looked so unstable, so violent.

Oh dear. It wasn't like her to think such dark thoughts. She tried to clear her head by heading down to Companion's spa for some much needed pampering.

Mourning, Bubbles decided, was simply the worst thing for one's complexion. The last thing she wanted to do was to advertise how she truly felt to the world at large.

"Companion? Are you here?"

The events of the other day were most likely still fresh in everyone's minds, but Companion wasn't the type to hold that against anyone. All she wanted was for people to feel at peace and relaxed. It was difficult enough to convince herself to open today, but there was a real need for the spa and she knew that. If there was a chance people would feel better because of her efforts then it had to be taken.

Of all the people she expected to see upset, Bubbles was not someone who she figured would stay down for long.

Blinking, she walked into the entryway and smiled slightly at the shorter blonde.

"Bubbles, how can I help you today?"

I am made of SO MUCH FAIL I'm sorry bubble_ditz April 21 2009, 04:23:06 UTC
"There you are!"

Bubbles took a moment to pull all her sadness deep within herself, leaving behind only the facade of a carefree woman. It was more instinct than necessity, since this woman had been there for her yesterday when that 'horrible Lucy person' had made her feel so depressed. But Bubbles couldn't help herself--she found it hard to let anyone see her vulnerable side. She was that much of a control freak.

"Oh my dearest Companion, I'm in soooo much need of some relaxation. A facial definitely, maybe even a massage."

She would have done the works but this was a spur of the moment decision and she was low on funds. Oh the tragic life of a merchant.

"Yes, sorry, I was checking on the sauna's to see if they've reached the right temperature yet."

Companion could tell there was something bothering Bubbled but decided not to ask out of respect for the other woman's attempt to mask her feelings. It was something Companion was quite skilled at, and knew how difficult it could be when someone had to swallow so much. She hope she could help Bubbles feel better.

"We have all sorts of facials and massages, and today everything is half-off. Would you like a revitalizing lemongrass and lavender facial, and a hot stone massage?"

She was aware of how tough some had it and was trying to make things easier.

The only thing on that list that might have interested Jing was getting a massage, but he was mainly interested in who was running the spa. He definitely remembered Companion, and she was quite a woman. Then there was the word "we" in the advertisement that suggested the possibility of even more hot women around. No way would Jing pass up this opportunity. As he stepped inside the spa, he casually looked around, checking out the environment.

"Hm, nice set-up."

The day had been going well, leaving Companion and her various assistants feeling as though they were truly making an impact. Many people had seen the notices and come by, and for that she was thrilled. The door chimes sounded, giving Companion notice that someone else had decided to come partake of the spa's services. Smiling, she made her way to the front and paused when she saw Jing.

"Hello, I'm pleased you think so. How can I help you?"

"Well, you know, I saw the flier, figured I'd come check this place out," he replied.

Figuring it would be a good idea to show some interest in the services and not just the women, Jing added, "So how're the massages? I think I've been sleeping kind of funny, 'cause lately my neck's just..." He pretended to cringe slightly as he rubbed at the alleged sore spot. "It's not feeling too great."

"I'm glad to know the fliers are working, we love having visitors." she smiled.

Canting her head slightly to one side, Companion perked up at Jing's question. "The massages here are excellent. Would you be interested in a deep tissue massage, a simple one, or a shiatsu one?" She thought for a moment, nodding. I think deep tissue would help best, let me introduce you to Anna, she has magic fingers."

hm... what time shall we say... 1:30ish? lemonshine April 21 2009, 04:43:53 UTC
Lucy had said that she'd come by Serenity but being busy and the sudden influx of bad news had left the girl with more than enough things on her mind that she'd actually forgotten. The flyer had caught her eye after the end of her shift as Lucy started wandering over to the Spa Island. It was nice to go back to a place that she hadn't seen in quite sometime. Given the recent incident, she was feeling a bit on edge as she spotted Companion's spa right away. Her footfalls brought her up to the door which she pushed open easily enough.

She peeked around the corner of the door, looking at the surroundings before setting foot inside. "Companion?"

Companion wasn't holding Lucy's lack of a visit against her, she understood how busy people could be and figured her friend had a good reason for staying away. She had known how deeply Lucy was affected by the recent disappearances and hoped that perhaps she could be of some assistance if Lucy thought to come by.

In the process of cleaning up after one of the other patrons Companion smiled as she heard the familiar voice and walked out into the entry-way. "Lucy, hello! How can I help you?"

If other people in the Sphere were going to tease Lucy for getting upset then that was their problem. She'd rather get it out of her system than to hold it in anyway as she grinned at the older woman. Her hands stuffed into her pockets as she looked around at the comfortable setting of the spa.

"You remember how we talked about Zen before? I'd like to learn about it. I think it's time for some inner peace."

If other people in the Sphere dared to tease Lucy about getting upset, they'd discover that Companion was not a lady to mess with. She saw nothing wrong with someone being willing to express their feelings, and envied Lucy that freedom.

"Then I would love to teach you. If you like, follow me into the meditation room. It's best for you to be fully relaxed when you open yourself and your mind."
