There was a lot he needed to talk about, but he had no idea how to start. No, Toushi was getting himself involved in something that could be dangerous, possibly deadly. He did not want either of them involved, but he had to give them something to go off of, if only to stay on guard. Most of all, he didn't want them to get hurt, especially because of him.

Toushi arrived a few seconds after Memory, huffing as he opened the door. "I'm home!" he shouted into the house, toeing off his shoes by the door as just seemed to be appropriate; one of those weird habits from his past life, he supposed. Walking into the living area, he paused, seeing Memory all ready there.

"Oh, hey," he said more softly as he unfastened the large sword from his back. "Is Kazahana here yet?"

"I'm here," Kazahana replied, sticking her head out from her doorway. "I was just tidying up my room while we waited."

She stepped back inside for a moment to pick up KC, then returned to join Toushi and Memory out in the common area. "Before we get started, I want you two to meet KC," she said, giving the cat a good scritch behind the ears. "He was Throne's and Argent. Now he's mine." She gave them a steady look, not expecting either of them to disagree, but unwilling to back down if they did.

"He's adorable." Memory smiled at the cat, somehow feeling more excited than she should have been. Maybe it was because it was her first pet ever, and she hoped that Kazahana would let her hold the cat. Settling herself into one of the chairs that rested itself in the room, she smiled at her brother and then at Kazahana, meeting her gaze with one that said If you want to keep him, I'm perfectly fine with that..

Lately she considered the young woman her sister, and made a note to herself to spend some more time with the raven-haired girl. "So....you wanted to talk about something, brother?" she quietly asked, looking to her book and hugging it to her.

Good, everyone was here. Toushi wanted to get down to business, but it seems Kazahana had other plans. He raised a brow at the cat. Throne and Argent's? She must have picked it up after those two disappeared. It was still odd to think they were gone, even if he was never close to them...even though he did destroy their house.

"Uh...hi," he said to the cat, scratching his head awkwardly. He wasn't really opposed to cats, he just didn't want to have to be the one to feed it, so as long as that was Kazahana's duty, then whatever worked for her. "Welcome to the house," Toushi added, attempting to be more supportive once he thought better of it.

Nodding to the blonde-haired girl, Toushi crossed his arms, motioning with his head for Kazahana (and KC) to take a seat. "Yeah, I, uh..." How to start..

"Some shit may go down soon," he said rather bluntly. "I just want to make sure you two are gonna be prepared..."

...And again, Toushi was cursing. Something she hadn't heard in a while. But the way he was saying what he did after that....her mind went into a panic; something Memory hadn't felt in a while. Probably ever since the feeling of being on the elevator. "...Prepared for?" She mimic'd the comment from Kazahana slightly, though her voice was a bit more of a mix of worry and surprise.

Let's just say that the little blonde was not in capabilities to fight anyone or anything yet, and was definitely not trying to plan to...

Great, he didn't want to make them worry, but he knew there was no way around it at the same time. Safe, yes, he just needed them safe so he could do what he needed to do. Based on Bastet's reaction, this was more serious than he had previously anticipated. He just wanted to make sure that nothing would go wrong.

"I can't tell you everything," he admitted, looking from Memory to Kazahana. "'cause I don't want anyone to be able to use you to get information out of in case something happens, but I need to...try and stop something bad from happening." He paused. "If I can."

Another long pause, and a sigh as he scratched his head in frustration.

"And Bastet mentioned some pretty bad shit happening to people who knew too much, by the tree n' shit." So the less Memory and Kazahana knew, the better. "I may be gone for a while."

Now Kazahana was sure that what had happened to her was related in some way to whatever Toushi was on about, at least tangentially. Immediately, she wanted to fill him in on what she'd experienced; of all the people in Edensphere, she was sure Toushi was one she could trust.

But she didn't want to frighten their younger roommate-which might be the reason Toushi was being so vague about things.

"Toushi, did you...'see' something you weren't supposed to?" she asked cautiously, staring at him intently as she willed him to realize she was more than passingly familiar with sudden, unexpected visions.

Memory looked down at her sketchbook, setting it properly on her lap. Somehow...she felt out of place. Like there was something they knew that she shouldn't know and they were keeping a severe secret from her that probably was for the best, right?

Opening her book, she quietly started drawing the scene from her traveling of the elevator, pausing for a minute as both of their words came back to her mind. Looking back up at her brother with a mixed expression on her face--She felt hurt that he didn't say more, but yet...he did want to protect her--Memory turned towards Kazahana and smiled weakly before looking to her book and drawing again.

Of course she knew nothing--good for her, right?
