If he hadn't lived the life he'd lead a naked woman would have been embarrassing. Instead he tossed a towel at the new borne instead of answering her question. "No one knows how we got here. We call it 'hatching' or being born. We all start without our memories and have a dream. It's a good idea to pick your name from your dream."

He picked up his mug of tea and sipped it before he set it down. "I have some clothes for you right here, miss. Once you dry off I'll hand them over and explain everything." He collected the journal and map and turned around to give her some privacy to get dressed. He was a gentleman after all.

Far from embarrassed she snatched the towel out of the air and proceeded to start carefully toweling off. Her hair would need far more than the towel, but that could be dealt with later. "I see, so I have been hatched and like a baby chick am to be released into this world?"

She considered his words about picking a name, thinking about the confusing but also enlightening dream that she had experienced. "Clothing would be wonderful, sir. I believe I am as dry as I'll be able to get, considering." She took the clothing and quickly dressed, vaguely amused at his discretion for reasons only she knew. "You may call me Companion, sir. It was a word of importance in my dream."

And of course Shiro was bringing his roommate lunch today. He had started doing that when Cross took up the second job because seriously, that was just too much work and Cross never had time to come home for lunch. So he had made up a nice bento and taken it up to the Hall.

...and of course he'd managed to walk right in BEFORE the new lady put her clothes on. Pause. Pause. Cue eyes popping right out of their sockets. Oh dear lord almighty.

He made a very undignified noise and flailed a little bit, then shoved the bento at Cross. "ER. Ah. Terribly sorry to interrupt, I brought lunch." Duh, really.
