Darko

In a pleasant "where is he now" coincidence, whatistigerbalm has posted to scansdaily an eight page story written by Darko Macan, a European creator whose work appeared in the first few issues of my anthology ZU. "Mister Bookseller" is a touching story about a bookstore owner who has every book except the one he wants the most.

I see his Wiki entry totally dissed you by not menationing ZU at all...

Oh, I don't consider it a diss. ZU was 15 years ago and a minor item on his agenda, I'm sure.

Thanks -- that was very nice.

I still remember DM's Grendel Tales (you'll never look at lightsabers the same way)... and now I'm curious about what he did for your anthology...

He also wrote Tarzan, and doubtless a few other titles.

ZU was a funny animal/anthropomorphic title.Darko's serial ran in issues 2-4. I believe his story was called "Sergei", about an antihero mercenary in a post-apocalyptic world.
