You know that really sad, slow song they played at showcase eighth grade year (the America one? The theme, not the song)... no vocals or anything like that, just music? Do you remember what it was called and who wrote it by any chance?

It should be op. 11, not op. 12. Barber's Op. 12 is his First Essay for Orchestra.
