There was no connection with the water like there was with Mercury in this fight. Her element being water; she likely felt more at home. He was not bothered by their fighting area, although if he thought on it a little - which he did - it reminded him of that time. That time, and that place. Naruto and he fought on the water and he was just moments; barely minutes from ending that boys life. That fight was long and hard. That man had so much power and dedication to him. Something that . . . seemed to be fading; and Sasuke would think no further on that as he traveled back to shore.

Absolutely no further. He had finally given up. It seemed like he had finally given up. Stopped chasing. Stopped caring.. No more thinking on that. No more ( ... )

With this boy, who was so similar to her, it was easy to say things she'd never say otherwise. Just as that man always knew her whole mind and heart. Somehow she returned that smile.

The Mars Kingdom, the Jupiter Kingdom, the Venus Kingdom; she did not care for the sailor senshi but even the destruction of those bothered her because it was so much needlessness. She did not like the idea of it, nor the sensation she had when she thought of it. But all of it, all of it was still destroyed, completely obliterated. His eyes shifted for a moment from her to the side. Orochimaru was still around in the background somewhere. He could feel him; but he was staying silent. It didn't matter too much. What Sasuke knew already Orochimaru likely knew or would find out. Nothing he was saying was entirely new either; and the man could take the gesture he just gave however he wanted to. It changed little in Sasuke's goals and aspirations.

Coals returned to the girl. Although it had turned out that his family was not what he believed it to be. He wasn't sure what it was. What was truth and what was lies.

If she'd known his thoughts, she could have thought the same still more, a never-ending line of similarities stretching into infinity as though Mercury and Sasuke were figments of themselves reflected in mirrors facing each other ( ... )
