Someone was approaching.

It took far more effort than it should have to sit up, but Shadow forced himself to do so. It was Tohru, he saw, although he didn't think she'd noticed him yet. He fumbled for his rings which lay scattered around him; he must have dropped them at some point. He coughed a few times, having breathed in perhaps a bit too much dust, then called out to her.

"Over here, Miss Honda."

Shadow smiled a little, her enthusiasm seemingly infectious when combined with his elation at the compound's victory.

"She should be fine, I'll have to go bring her back..." He glanced around Tohru, back over his shoulder, in the direction in which he'd taken her. Hopefully she could wait a little bit, it was going to be a few minutes before he was ready to run all the way out there again.

"You look well," he said, attention back on Tohru. He'd been worried about her, and it was a relief to see that as far as he could tell, she was unharmed.
