Keyes nodded acknowledgement to the salute and, hesitating only for the briefest of seconds, returned it with a crisp one of his own once he approached close enough to stop at a comfortable talking distance from the Spartan. "Master Chief," he greeted calmly.

He took a moment to glance around the infirmary before returning his steadfast eyes to the armored man in front of him. "How are things going here? Where are the others?"
