Characters: OU Lwaxana Troi, OPEN Where: The street near the plaza When: The afternoon Summary: Lwaxana Troi arrives in Econtra, and she is not pleased. Warnings: None so far
Yamato had mostly dinner plans on his mind as he walked through the plaza. He'd had a pretty good day, his regular practices, with sword, harmonica, and guitar, all having gone well, and now he was considering just what he wanted to make for dinner.
As he walked, he spied an older woman who looked somewhat annoyed and confused. He had a feeling that she was new around Econtra. You could generally tell that look. He knew how he'd felt...had it really been a year and a half? Time certainly flew. He wondered if she needed any help figuring out how things worked around here.
Lwaxana almost instantly perceived that she had attracted someone's attention. A handsome young man, it seemed. She waved at him, stepping out and nearly slipping on the slush. "Oh yoo-hoo!" she called to him. "Young man? Young man! Could you help me?"
Yamato figured that was a yes to his internal question about her needing help and made his way over to her. He had much better luck with the slush than she did, as the soles of his boots had been designed for as much traction as possible. Given his particularly acrobatic style of fighting, being able to land and know you weren't going to fall was a must.
"Let me guess," he said once he got close enough. "You've only just arrived in Econtra, haven't you?"
"Econtra? An ugly name for an ugly place!" She glanced around. "I don't even know what I'm doing here. I was on my way to a nice little vacation spot, and suddenly poof! I was standing in the slush. What is going on here?"
Seeley Booth resisted for long enough. Being the guy he was, he wasn't about to leave a woman, no matter how high on the social ladder she seemed to be. Yes, the star agent of the FBI held few grudges, and most of them reserved for the murderers and serial killers he caught for a living, but growing up a boy of few allowances, he had a certain problem with the well endowed upper class. Still, he had his manners, after all, and she did not look all too happy.
In approaching, he knew that his reception would be less then welcome, "You are just completely out of your element, aren't you?" Especially when he greeted her as such.
Lwaxana swung around to face the man. There was a latent hostility there in his tone and his thoughts, but oh my, wasn't he a handsome fellow, if just a little young? Perhaps he merely needed a little warmth and charm. "Why yes I am," she said, softening her voice, putting out a hand in a delicate gesture of greeting. "I'm afraid I'm quite lost and alone in this place, Mister, um..."
Booth grinned, closing the distance and taking her hand in a polite gesture of his own, just one shake for the aristocrat. "We're all lost, miss." Miss was one of those words a law enforcement man could use, when they really didn't want to know the person's name. Just polite. That's all.
He saw that change of face too, and frankly, he would probably just be giving this woman directions to the nearest safe spot and be on his way to the infirmary. See if Bones had found anything fun to do.
Neka was doing what she did best, wander aimlessly around the compound. When she was in Shibuya that's what she did, besides fight Noise and try to accomplish the day's mission. She paused for a moment, looking down at the song currently blaring in her ears for a moment. She shook her head a bit. Her friends were vanishing and she didn't like it at all. She wished that she knew where they were, but she doubted that she would get an answer.
Hopefully they had been sent back to their own Shibuyas. She hadn't noticed Lwaxana yet, she was too busy fidding with her music.
Lwaxana noted the girl with earphones fiddling with some sort of device. "Hello!" she called. "Hello, could you..." she paused, wondering if the girl could hear her over her music.
"Hello there!" she said, and this time, reached out with her mind to give her just the very slightest of mental nudges, just a light tickle to make her look up.
"I can hear you just fine." Neka said, looking over at Lwaxana. Even with the music blaring in her ears, she had been able to hear the woman just fine. She was used to hearing people over her music. Though, Lwaxana might have noticed something a bit different about her when she nudged her brain.
Neka was dead after all and she had her Player pins, allowing her to scan most people. She just didn't want to hear what other people were thinking.
Ah, that's what she felt when she nudged her. This girl was some sort of empath. It wouldn't occur to her that she was dead, simply different.
"Do forgive," Lwaxana said in her most placating voice, noting the girl's irritation. "I'm simply looking to be directed to the nearest residential complex."
The happy feeling that floated along from the approaching youth made Lwaxana turn and look at him. Just the feel of his thoughts told her that he could possibly be an empath, though not of the Betazoid sort, and therefore caution was a bit warranted. His thoughts were filled with affection for someone...how adorable!
"Excuse me, young man!" she called, putting out a hand like hailing a cab. "Excuse me!"
Lwaxana was pleasantly surprised by the young man's chivalrous behavior. Personal space meant little to empaths. "Oh, how kind," she said sweetly. "I was just thrown here with no preparation at all. What were they thinking? Really? But what a nice young man you are, offering to help a lady in need!"
