Characters: OU Lwaxana Troi, OPEN Where: The street near the plaza When: The afternoon Summary: Lwaxana Troi arrives in Econtra, and she is not pleased. Warnings: None so far
The happy feeling that floated along from the approaching youth made Lwaxana turn and look at him. Just the feel of his thoughts told her that he could possibly be an empath, though not of the Betazoid sort, and therefore caution was a bit warranted. His thoughts were filled with affection for someone...how adorable!
"Excuse me, young man!" she called, putting out a hand like hailing a cab. "Excuse me!"
Lwaxana was pleasantly surprised by the young man's chivalrous behavior. Personal space meant little to empaths. "Oh, how kind," she said sweetly. "I was just thrown here with no preparation at all. What were they thinking? Really? But what a nice young man you are, offering to help a lady in need!"
"Famished!" she exclaimed, taking his arm and pulling him in close. "So nice to meet you, Quatre Raberba Winner! My name is Lwaxana Troi, Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed."
"Betazed. Rixx is one of our provinces. It is a rather long title, but that is one of the burdens of aristocracy," she sighed as they walked. "But I was on my way to a very important meeting when I was suddenly brought here. I don't know why they think they need me for any old war."
"I'm an ambassador of good will and friendship," she replied, waving her hand dramatically for emphasis as they stepped inside. "We need more of those these days. I'll give you back your coat as soon as we find my living quarters," she assured him, glancing around the restaurant. "My, how...homey," she said, with less enthusiasm.
Lwaxana settled right down on the barstool, setting her purse on the bar beside her. "Well, I certainly understand if it's a war zone," she said. "I won't hold it against you." She smiled. "Whatever you have to prepare will be fine, Darling."
"You mean Earthlings?" Lwaxana asked, rummaging in her bag. "But of course! I was married to a such a strapping Earthling for many years. They're such a virile species," she smiled. "Their men have so much stamina!" She pulled out what would look to one from Quatre's world a digital photo frame and flipped it on to reveal a picture of a tall handsome man in a red and black uniform, holding aloft a little girl with tight black curls and dark eyes. "My Ian and my Little One Deanna," she said. "She's gone on to a glorious career in Starfleet," she gushed.
Lwaxana laughed at his consternation. Earthlings were so easily embarrassed, too. "She is," she cooed. "My Little One. I so hope she finds a good man soon."
