"A little chilly to be training, isn't it?"

Such a hypocrit. After having stayed back for as long as possible, working out all of those feelings and the blushing that happened to flood his cheeks every time his thoughts lingered towards a certain blue haired woman, he approached her. The blond had left his swords back at the apartment today, not thinking that he would need them for now. A couple of laps, maybe some squats in the cold... Yes. That would all do nicely for him. That didn't mean that with Maria here now, they couldn't have sparred again. They were partners in the communications team, right? He stood by the girl's side, wearing that leather jacket that she had given him overtop the vest he usually wore.

"Didn't I just tell you not to neglect your duties?" Maria retorted, but not as snappily as she normally would. Around her friends, she wasn't as stern and strict as the world thought she was.

She smiled, noticing the jacket. It did look good on him. She turned her attention back to the tree for a moment, firing another set of blasts at the poor thing, but just enough to make the branches she'd targeted earlier snap and fall from the trunk. She then tucked her blaster back into its holster, this time turning to the blond fully. "Let's spar."

His answer was simple and innocent enough. "I'm with you, aren't I?" Partners, to say the least. Being around her, they could get some work done. Or so the two had thought. She had chosen him especially to be the most associated with in the communications team, so that everyone had at least one person they could depend on no matter what the situation was ( ... )

Going all out, it seemed. Maria liked that. She hated it when people, the men most especially, underestimated her. She stepped back some, taking off the mittens and the shawl and eventually the coat, laying them on a heap beside her. Underneath she wore a simple shirt and trousers, a combination that, while a little chilly, gave her ease of movement.

She didn't even bother to take up a fighting stance. She sprung to her feet and attacked.
