If he couldn't still feel the pain in his legs and chest Dick would have been thoroughly convinced who he was seeing as he turned to see where the voice came from was part of one crazy dream. Two--no Harvey Dent offering him soup, Bruce would never believe this if he ever got home to tell him. This was not his Harvey though and the man's company was well welcomed, After all it had been Harvey who helped dig him out and cut the bonds loose from his body along with Tim. With a slight cough he let a Cracked a small grin as he looked into the tired eyes of the other ( ... )

"Well at least that 'little cold' of yours is getting treated." Harvey said wryly, referring to that post before all this madness, when Dick had reappeared out of nowhere talking about Gotham and all sorts of grim things through a terrible hacking. He watched the man grasp the soup, almost offering to help feed it to him but refraining. If Dick was anything like the Bat (or just as stubborn as he had been refusing to get medical help before) Harvey doubted the offer would be met with much enthusiasm. Instead he sat back, taking a moment to try and relax before returning his attention completely to Dick again.

"Tim and the Bat caught the Joker." He explained, brushing past the memory of that little interview to what he was truly interested in. "Dick, where were you? What happened before, you said you were back in Gotham." he asked, regarding the other with unmasked curiosity.

Brainiac 5 watched the two Gothamites from accross the room, his keen synthetic senses recording their every word, after all, if it could add any useful data, he might as well.

Harvey Dent- Alias: Two Face. He read his file on Two face, knowing full well that this Harvey was merely the villain's previous incarnation. The other, Dick Grayson- Alias: Nightwing. Vigilante and honorary Legion member.

He had only distributed the pain and flu medication to Dick, but now he was relaxing, trying to meditate concerning the conversation at the council meeting and the status of the Legion.

Still, the reason he was eavesdropping was of course, the comment of Dick returning to Gotham. He hadn't thought that possible, until Lyle had said the same thing. It was the details he was after.

Dick looked up from his now fruitful attempts at just drinking the soup instead if spooning it into his mouth. Setting it down half drank though he paused for a moment to give himself time to find his voice enough to talk. " Gotham..my Gotham..Br--Batman is gone..not dead..he can't take the mantle" he explained as best he could though Harvey would have to pay attention to hear the whispered tone of the younger man's voice. As much as Dick was starting to trust the other man, to disclose Bruces secret--or not so depending on who knew it-- identity was Bruce's choice alone and the accidental slip that was caught was a close call at that. " I stepped up..No one else with Tim here..except Jason.."

Brainy's painkillers and flue medication were working better than he'd hoped though he felt a bit more tired than he'd wanted to. Ignoring it he focused his attention on the D.A. who was hovering over him more than Tim had before he shooed him off to go see Cissie.

Rose was feeling a bit high-strung at the moment. The clinic was busier now than it had been in ages, and she was dashing here and there trying to keep up with things.

It didn't help that Nocturne was hovering around and they nearly tripped over each other every time she passed by where Selphie was being treated.

Finally, she lost her patience. "Nocturne, would you please get out from underpaw? No harm is going to come to her or any of them if I can help it, I promise you."

Nocturne sighed and smiled sheepishly. "All right, all right... I'll be outside."

Rhyme arrived shortly after she had contacted Rose and had gotten to work right away after taking the experienced healer's orders. It had been quite hectic with everyone coming in and out and it was beginning to tire her out a bit but she continued to do what she could.

It was hard work, but Rhyme knew that the victims themselves had the hardest job of all; learning to cope with an experience she couldn't quite fathom. They could prevail, though, and it was their job to be there to help them in anyway they could, not just physical injuries.

Rhyme tossed Rose a sympathetic look. The mouse was the one who had been working the hardest to keep things n order so she couldn't blame her for the snappish comment she made to..Nocturne? He had been the one that Selphie had thrown the party for not too long ago, right?

Still they needed to keep together and so she place a hand on her shoulder, "Miss Rose, could I get you a glass of water, or something?"

Rose rubbed her forehead. "I'll be fine, Rhyme, thank you. I'm just tired." She looked at Rhyme, and her expression made it very obvious for a moment that she wasn't really much older than Rhyme emotionally.

Rhyme briefly wondered if she had misjudged Rose's age, but pushed it aside for now. Now wasn't the time to really pursue the subject.

Rhyme nodded in understanding. Everyone who was involved in the rescuing of the kidnapped people could really use some rest, it had been a long past couple of days and though the people had been found, the case still did not seem settled.

"Does stuff like this happen often?" she murmured, gathering some wet towels.

Cissie should have been sleeping. She knew that; she was tired. She just--couldn't. She was too sore and uncomfortable, and when she closed her eyes to try... She just couldn't.

And she was cold. No matter what she did, she was still cold. She huddled under her two blankets, trying not to think about how much she didn't want to be here, but back in her apartment, in her own bed. After everything... all she wanted to do was go home. She stared at the ceiling and wondered if it was possible to fall asleep without closing your eyes.

Harvey moved down the clinic more, trying not to be a burden in the mad rush of people doing what they could to help. He stuck to the side, catching sight of Cissie a few beds down. She looked... cold, almost scared. It made Harvey's blood boil just a bit more, just a touch more anger building up before he pushed it back down with expert ease. Cissie didn't need that, no one did.

He grabbed a blanket stored by the side and walked over, a small smile on his face and the bag from before, emptier, still in his hand as he took a seat by the bed. "Time to harass you now I'm afraid." he said as he placed the bag down, offering her the blanket to add on to her collection before his expression sobered. "How are you?" he asked softly, a stupid question but what he wanted to know regardless, even if she only way she could answer 'alright' was as a complete lie.

Cissie returned Harvey's smile with a tired one of her own. She was happy to see him, and the blanket was definitely welcome. She laughed a little at the comment about harassing her, but the smile slipped when he asked how she was. The polite answer would have been a lie, and she wasn't sure she could manage too much more honesty than that--but she felt like Harvey deserved a bit more than the polite answer. So she shrugged a shoulder and gave him what she was sure was an unconvincing smile. "I'm--better now?" That was most certainly true. "Who else have you been harassing?"

"Dick." Harvey said, smiling a bit at the answer - evasive but completely true. She was good. "He's doing alright, that pig headed refusal to get his health checked out before all this didn't help but I forced some soup down his throat so he's not too bad." he answered, reaching into the bag and pulling out another thermos, holding it out to Cissie with a grin. "Now it's your turn. Decades of commercial endorsement can't be wrong, it's good for you."

He sat back, sobering in expression and manner as he did. "I doubt you want to talk about it but if you do I'm here." he said after a long pause. What else could he do? He remembered when Rachel had nightmares about Crane and that toxin, (his face, covered in maggots... it was-) he felt the same. She had always said 'just be there' and he did, as useless as it felt. He hoped that's something that they needed as well because it was all he could do. He wasn't Batman who could swoop in and save the day, or Quatre who could actually go in and sooth a mind somehow. He was the bait or the ( ... )
