"Dick." Harvey said, smiling a bit at the answer - evasive but completely true. She was good. "He's doing alright, that pig headed refusal to get his health checked out before all this didn't help but I forced some soup down his throat so he's not too bad." he answered, reaching into the bag and pulling out another thermos, holding it out to Cissie with a grin. "Now it's your turn. Decades of commercial endorsement can't be wrong, it's good for you."

He sat back, sobering in expression and manner as he did. "I doubt you want to talk about it but if you do I'm here." he said after a long pause. What else could he do? He remembered when Rachel had nightmares about Crane and that toxin, (his face, covered in maggots... it was-) he felt the same. She had always said 'just be there' and he did, as useless as it felt. He hoped that's something that they needed as well because it was all he could do. He wasn't Batman who could swoop in and save the day, or Quatre who could actually go in and sooth a mind somehow. He was the bait or the extra set of hands- or here, just existing. Maybe that really could be enough.

"Or if you want to talk about the weather. Either way the offer's the same." He said, forcing a half smile to her.

Cissie frowned a little, shaking her head. "I think that attitude toward health care is a family trait," she said ruefully. "Unless you do that too, and then I'll have to think it's a Gotham thing."

Harvey's presence and conversation was already helping; it distracted her and gave her something to focus on besides the thoughts in her head, which was all she'd had for the last several days. She accepted the soup gratefully, smiling a little. She was cold and hungry and soup sounded perfect. "Thanks," she said. It was a little strange, having people take care of her--bring her blankets and soup--back home, if something happened, yes people worried, but she lived by herself in a boarding school and no one--no adult, anyway--ever brought her soup and offered to listen if she wanted to talk. She blinked rapidly and busied herself with opening the thermos before managing a short nod.

"I... Thank you," she said quietly. She looked up at him and managed a small, if shaky, smile. "That--means a lot." She took a deep breath. "Maybe we stick to the weather for right now, though?" She wasn't ready to talk about it right now, but she had a feeling the time might come when she might need to.

Harvey couldn't help but chuckle at the comment. "I think it may be a Gotham trait- I was lucky enough to have someone to kick my ass into shape when I acted up." he answered with a small smile. "I'm guessing those two learned from the best when it comes to being a pain about accepting help." Harvey said. He doubted he needed to name Bruce at this point.

He felt some relief when she took the soup - at least she had an appetite - and more when she managed a small smile. He smiled back, a little more sincerely than the normal ones he would throw around, nodding his head. "Not a problem, and that sounds fine. I can give you a comprehensive report on how great it is to freeze your ass off out there." he answered, smile shifting to a small smirk. "Or I could let you in on the mistletoe incident. It was a small amusement to say the least."

Cissie smiled a little into her soup--he was definitely right there; Tim and Dick had nothing on Bruce in that department. The soup was good, and was helping to warm her. She raised an eyebrow. "Mistletoe incident?"

Harvey chuckled as he spoke. "Someone set up mistletoe everywhere- from what I got from the enraged entries it froze you in place for an hour or two unless someone came and kissed you." he said. He could enjoy the reactions considering he had been lucky enough to have avoided being trapped at any point. "The community at large was up in arms, it was a very dramatic turn of events." he said, the slightest hint of sarcasm in his tone.

Cissie shook her head--that actually sounded kind of fun; but then, anything sounded fun comparatively. "In this place?" she asked, redirecting her thoughts; she didn't want to go there. She wanted to visit with Harvey and be distracted. "You mean people didn't take it all in stride?"

"Hard to believe right?" Harvey asked, sitting back. "Death threats, shouting, it was quite the show. I can't say I would have been so amused if I had been caught too but from an outsider's perspective it added quite the... spice to life." He settled on.

Cissie blinked at him. "Death threats?" she repeated incredulously. While she was buried alive, people were giving death threats over mistletoe? She shook her head, attempting not to scowl. "I'm pretty sure if you'd been caught, you wouldn't have resorted to that. It seems a bit--severe."

This place. Sometimes Cissie thought there wasn't any rhyme or reason to the people brought here--she thought of the Joker and shivered, not entirely from the cold.
