Elena casually strolled down the street, idly staring up into the sky, the brisk snowflakes touching her pink cheeks. It was nice to have days like this, even though they were cold. She shivered and tucked her gloved hands into the pockets of her puffy white jacket.
"I wonder if anything will happen today. Probably not. It's all the same here..."

If there was one thing he could truly dislike about such a place, it was the occasional moments of boredom and ennui. It was one thing to be alive again, to be a whole and not merely one more consciousness in the sea of the Lifestream. It was quite another to be trapped in a compound with no discernible purpose either in the present, nor the near future

Lelouch had craned his neck around the side of the building just enough to catch a brief glimpse of the approaching blonde. He drew back for a moment and weighed the situation. There were people living in this place. Now the question in his mind was whether he was trapped in an illusion or an actual physical Britannian compound.

The truth, he thought, would not be difficult to expose; if they were actual real sentient beings, they would easily succumb to the effects of his geass. If they were illusions, however, his geass would be ineffective on them.

Lelouch drew back in shock as the thud of a large body hitting the ground sent a wave of snow dust flying through the alley. Eyes wide and twitching with rage, he quickly lifted a pistol trained on the man's head, bracing his squatting position.

"Where am I!?" he demanded.

Hearing a light thump and a shout, Elena headed over to a nearby alleyway and peeked inside, seeing a dark haired boy with a cape and a distraught look on his face pointing a gun at Sephiroth.
She assumed that he was probably a new arrival, and he was in the shocked and confused and maybe stage. And knowing Sephiroth, he would definitely be able to handle it. But still...
"Um, hello?"

Sephiroth raised an eyebrow, staring down the muzzle at the face twisted in rage hiding behind it. "Hardly the most dignified way to go about orienting yourself, isn't it?" he replied wryly, hand instinctively around the hilt of his sword.

He would give this one the single benefit of the doubt. The man looked as lost and confused (if a little more angry) as a country boy in the heart Midgar train depot. "Hardly a need to find your way by waving your weapon around like an inexperienced bank robber, threatening strangers and--" he glanced up sharply at the sound of Elena's uncertain voice filtering through the narrow alleyway, "--frightening little girls."

...Even he could not help his lips twisting at the irony of listening to himself say the words. Not when his long, somewhat colorful past of destruction and general mayhem was put into consideration.
