For whatever reason, the mysterious poster had chosen to escape in the abandoned lot right next door, and Shadow wasn't yet sure whether this was a good thing or not. He himself had kept quiet about his escape plans, assuming that the Keepers monitored the network posts. The Warden always had, and if there was no way to hide something from him, then expecting to hide a post from the Entropi who owned the place seemed especially futile ( ... )

The post had been too good to be true. Leaving it anonymous was one reason to be skeptical and who knew, maybe it was a ploy by the Keepers to see who was interested in escaping so they could weed out future trouble. She couldn't imagine anyone overly intelligent would show up on the scene for if anyone had actually thought of a way to escape, they would likely be out of here already. Unless they were a bleeding heart that wanted to help others leave, which would again raise the question of why they didn't leave a name to go with their post.

No matter. She arrived on the roof regardless of her skepticism to see whatever happened first hand with Shadow. "Has the show started yet?" she asked as she approached. It was nice to be able to sit next to him and not be troubled by any of his thoughts.

"No."

He'd expected she would show, sooner or later, driven by the same sort of curiosity he was, if not the bleak sense of humor.

At least a couple more of them had arrived by now, though. Maybe with enough people, the Keepers would decide to take action. More than likely, though, they would all be ignored. It wasn't as if the humans standing around down there had a chance at escape.

"Something better come of this." She propped her face up, watching the scene. Nobody she knew had arrived there yet, though she had seen the others around on occasion. No names to go with the faces, but that was for the best since if things went sour, she wouldn't need to mourn for any of them.

Heero Yuy pulled on his jacket and crept out of his apartment without telling anyone where he was going. He didn't know how many of his fellow pilots were going to show up, but he certainly wasn't going to encourage any of them.

He didn't believe it. Not for one instant. Quatre and Duo had told him the Keepers had killed someone for trying to go over the wall and he had no reason to doubt their word. He had own ideas about how they might be able to get out, but hadn't said anything to anyone about it.

But he was going tonight for a few reasons. He wanted to hear this foolproof plan, and find out what it was. He also wanted to see who else among his fellow prisoners were willing to try to escape, in case he ever formulated a plan of his own. He also (unknowingly having the same thought as Faye) wanted to see how the Keepers reacted. Plus, if there was trouble, perhaps he could be of some assistance.

He lived in Building Two, so it took him no time to arrive. He leaned against the cold brick wall of the building to wait.

Duo had settled himself in by the window of his apartment to watch the amusement, since he had a few of the lot. He spotted Heero moving in the shadows along the side of the building. Leaning out, he tried to get the Wing pilot's attention.

Meanwhile, Quatre had gone along outside to see out of sheer curiosity. He still hadn't given up all hope on getting out. He walked along, spotting Heero below Duo's window. He didn't notice Duo at first above them, waving slightly to get their attention. He stood next to Heero. "I see you came as well."

Heero frowned a little as Quatre approached. He wasn't sure it was safe. "I wanted to check it out," he said. "It's probably some sort of trap, so be careful."

Atem was glad for the coat she'd requisitioned a while ago as she walked to the designated spot. The God Plushies trailed her, chirping amongst themselves as they followed their mistress to the location mentioned in the anonymous post.

The feline pharaoh had left without saying anything to Riza, not wanting to distress her fellow catgirl. After all, getting killed in an escape attempt was better than her current plight. Maybe she was being a bit fatalistic, but right now, she was beyond caring. She just wanted to get out of here, whether it was by normal means, or on the wrong end of a Keeper's bolt.

It was Mosquiton's habit to go out at night and sleep during the day as much as he could get away with it. Thus it was that he'd simply happened to be out when the group was gathering. He lurked in the shadows for a while, trying to decide what they might be up to before his curiosity overcame him and he crept a bit closer. Approaching one of the female (and therefore, to his slightly paranoid mind, less threatening) members of the group, he said, "Pardon me, but... could you tell me what's going on here?"

Atem turned, a little startled, before recovering her wits. Though still emotionally shattered by her double loss, she remembered her manners, and mustered up a wan smile. "Apparently, someone's discovered a way out," she said, wrapping her coat tighter around herself. "So they asked whoever was interested to come and make a break out attempt." She looked up at the sky, where the Keepers continued to circle endlessly, and shuddered. "I hope we don't regret this." Almost in an undertone, she added, "Though it might not be so bad."

"You mean, you're going to get out?" said Mosquiton, eyes widening. He cast a nervous glance at the wall and back again. "Isn't it dangerous out there? I mean, we've never even seen what's on the other side..."

It wasn't as though Larka wasn't content, here. Certainly, there were no Lera to hunt, and she was forced to live among humans and the like, rather than among the Varg. But the abilities that she had been born with - and the ones that she had further been forced to acquire - were helpful here, while back home they were more harm than good. She could have a purpose, here, while back home her purpose was fulfilled already.

However, if someone claimed to have found a way to escape this place, she was... admittedly curious. Not because she particularly wanted to leave, but because if there was a way, that meant that the option existed. And at the very least, it would be interesting to observe the attempt.

Which was why she had come and was now seated on the edge of the lot, further away from most of the action than most of the others.

Hearing someone claim to know a way to escape was more than enough to lure Hao to the area. The shaman had wanted to return home ever since arriving, his desire to obtain the title of Shaman King increasing daily, in spite of all distractions within the compound. It may had been a trap, but it wasn't something he'd have difficulty guarding against. Thus, as soon as he could, he had arrived.

A quick look around showed that many others had arrived...but the one who had called them there had not yet to present himself - or herself. Deciding it'd be worth waiting, in case the person would waltz in later, he headed over to the farthest edge of the lot. His reishi was starting to irritate him, and the more distance between him and the others, the better.

To his suprise - and delight - there was someone there. The white-furred wolf...Larka, was her name, he recalled. One of the first he spoke to over his messenger. "Well, well, this is a surprise," he remarked, sending her a warm smile, "a pleasant one, admittedly."

There was one thing about being the only white Varg - heck, the only Varg - in this place, and that was that Larka could tell someone that she was said Varg, and they would know who she was. Unfortunately, the human and human-shaped beings who lived here had little to no such convenient distinction that she herself could use.

So as the male approached her and greeted her kindly, she found herself without a clue as to who it was. Since he appeared to know of her, however, it had to have been someone she had spoken to in the past, so she wasn't worried. There were few if any who she had spoken to who she didn't take kindly towards.

"I suppose it is," she replied. "Though, it would be more pleasant if I was positive of who you are."

The Piemaker showed up a little early, skulking along in a ridiculous parody of a man trying to avoid being seen, his hands in his pockets and his shoulders hunched up. He had abandoned the apron and oven mitts since Faye has last seen him, and acquired a black jacket somewhere which his mun will requisition later wtf.

When he did not see anyone else in the parking lot Ned whirled around as though uncertain, bending at the knees and exhaling loudly. He looked from his watch to the empty parking lot and then back the way he came, clearly contemplating ducking out of this scheme.

Beat came surprisingly early for someone accustomed to arriving either at the last second or downright late--whatever was going on with him and this place, he was more than ready to bounce the joint and try and get somewhere that was anywhere but here. The fact that if he found Shibuya at all it might not be the same Shibuya he was used to really wasn't a concern; he just wanted out of Econtra, so that alone was a plus compared to sitting around here waiting for the aliens to descend on them.

Dying was not in his plans.

There were surprisingly few people when Beat got there, considering the number of them he'd seen around. And one of the guys...looked like the aliens were already after him. What was that about? "Yo man, what's with the spazzing?" he called out.

Ned whirled around, surprised to realize he was the one being addressed by a punk-looking teenager who he had not seen before. He scuffed his shoes against the ground, shrugging and shivering a little, looking around. "I- uh. I don't know if I should be here."

The Piemaker tried to find the words to express his apprehension, his reluctance to get involved in anything that might lead to violence. He was in a bad enough spot just being here. The last thing he needed was to get dragged into some kind of uprising against the aliens...

"Why not? 'S a chance to get outta here! What, you wanna stick around and wait for them aliens to come in an' get us?" Beat was willing to take any chance he had to escape. As far as he remembered he'd just woken up around here a couple days ago, and as much of a drag being around home was it was a hell lot better than sticking around--especially when his own sister didn't seem to know who he was.
