When: Night, after this post by Selphie, and some other events like Maria's arrival and Fayt's requisition.
Summary: Maria's arrived, and Sheifa needs cake. With cake meaning 'sniffly

Sheifa -> Aerith -> Selphie

Aerith was breathless with excitement, bursting with her good news. She couldn't wait to tell Selphie about Fayt proposing to her, and she bounded up to her friends apartment, almost all traces of sadness gone from what she had experienced earlier in the day. Suddenly she stopped, and faltered a little bit. Outside of Selphie's door stood Sheifa, looking lost in her own thoughts, and upset? Aerith frowned a little, not wanting to see her friend like this. Sheifa should be happy -- she and Albel were married now! Then she remembered that Fayt had told her Maria was here, Albel's former girlfriend from his own world. It was behind him now though, wasn't it? After all, he had told Maria about his marriage to Sheifa, from what Aerith had been told. Coming up behind her friend, she quickly slipped her hand into Sheifa's and gave it a quick squeeze, smiling at her in reassurance that she was not alone. "Hey," she said softly, unable to keep the glowing smile off of her face.

"Hey, Aerith," Sheifa greeted, smiling lightly at the girl. She appreciated the gesture, and wasn't really surprised that she seemed to know what was up. Aerith was Fayt's girlfriend, after all, and Fayt, in turn, was Albel's best friend. But she was... well, smiling. The kind of smile that couldn't be kept away or hidden for long. So the redhead offered a smile as well, not wanting to dampen anyone's spirits, no matter how bad she felt about the situation.

And then the door opened. Here comes Selphie now. She was always the perfect distraction.

"Hi, Selphie!" Sheifa managed to bounce, just a little, pulling Aerith by the hand and sorta dragging her in. She was pretty sure that her best friend knew why she wanted cake, but hey, there was no need to get to that yet. Not when Aerith was practically dying to tell them good news. Sheifa could tell that much.

Aerith let Sheifa drag her in behind her, also thankful for Selphie's appearance now. "Selphie!" Aerith embraced her friend tightly, still bursting with the news. She knew though, with one look at Sheifa, that there were more important matters at hand. She figured the cakes were for herself and Sheifa, to cheer them both up after what had happened recently, and she really did appreciate it, but she felt maybe it was still Sheifa's turn to have the spotlight.

"Huh huh what are you talking about?" Sheifa asked, too excited to really pay attention to Selphie, bouncing over to the cake with her best friend. "And both, please? Those look delicious!"

She giggled. "Spying doesn't seem like a bad idea~"

Of course! Cake was always #1. Sheifa took her share of the cake and nodded enthusiastically. "Excellent plan! Do we race?" she asked, gesturing to the cake. Cake-eating contest! Woohoo!
