The cooler time of the day was much like a relief to the chef, much rather taking the time to wander out when he was sure he wouldn't have to deal with the sun bearing down upon him.

A tiny sigh escaped from his lips as he clutched a small container to him, almost like some sort of treasure. In effect it truly was, at least to him, one of the few things he'd successful made in this silly place.

Ono's thoughts would have consumed him if he hadn't noticed the nearby movement, curious as it was to find someone... fighting, he supposed, in this time of day. For the time being he just stayed a little ways off, knowing much better than to interrupt someone with a weapon.

Hiiragi had decided that to really exhaust herself, she would have to pace herself. Taking a breather every now and then so that she could keep practicing wouldn't hurt at all. So when Hiiragi needed a moment's respite, she slammed the end of the fighting stick into the ground and stood quietly as she readied herself for the next flurry of movement.

And as Hiiragi rested, she realized for the first time that she had an audience. She gave the man a flat stare, but said nothing to either encourage him to stay or send him on his way.

It was rather weird to him to actually see someone training like this, not many people back in his world really ever did. So it was something of a rare sight, curiosity really.

Jolting a little at the stare he tried to give something of a 'haha, I'm not trying to do anything' look. Which, really, looked more like a forced nervous little smile of his.

"A-ah. I didn't mean to stare..."

Hiiragi stood a little straighter and managed a wan smile. It was a pale, watered-down version of her usual spunk. The staring really hadn't bothered her. "It's all right. I don't care if you watch."

Pharaun slipped quietly through the trees as only an elf - born in the Underdark or not - could. He'd had much the same idea as Hiiragi, in fact, intending to train.

He wore a rapier by his side - the replacement for the one that had been destroyed by the Entropi, the one that had caused so much trouble with the transformation spell. He stood quietly for a moment, watching Hiiragi.

Hiiragi remained unaware of an audience as she worked with the fighting stick. If she had noticed that she was watched, she wouldn't have cared. She practiced furiously in her quest to push herself to exhaustion.

Pharaun cleared his throat. "Hello, Hiiragi." He flourished his rapier in an elegant Menzoberranyr salute. "I don't suppose you'd fancy a live sparring partner, would you? I haven't wielded a blade by hand in some time."

Hiiragi paused to regard Pharaun with a dangerous smile. She had no doubt that he could push her as hard as she wanted to be pushed. "How sweet of you to offer. Bring it on, Pharaun!"

Darkwing had started his nightly habit of wandering around the compound, on the watch for evil doers. (Though it seems he was always unlucky in finding such evil doers.) However, he had become quite able to find other people training.

"Is that a new technique?" Darkwing asked from the shadows of a tree. It seemed her movements were more sluggish than what her form would suggest, which he could easily note with his keen eyes, of course.

Hiiragi paused to spare the form in the shadows a glance. She'd been pushing herself for a good while, and how tired she was showed. "I'm... I'm still learning the stick," she said, huffing a bit as she caught her breath.

"Well, for a beginner, that was impressive." Darkwing said, studying her. "How long have you been practicing?"

Hiiragi glanced up at the evening sky. She hadn't checked the time when she'd come out, but she knew she'd been outside a while working out. "Since just before sunset."
