Mosquiton was sitting under a tree, in the deepest part of the shade where the sunlight couldn't hurt his sensitive eyes, reading a book. He'd been keeping to himself a lot lately, largely out of embarrassment over what had happened during the whole tomato incident. He still felt bad about that. He hoped people hadn't been too angry about it. After all, it hadn't been entirely his fault... but that rarely made a difference when people were dealing with vampires.

He paused to stretch a bit, and noticed a boy shuffling past. Mosquiton gave him an uncertain wave.

He'd known he couldn't be the only person who'd decided to spend some time in the park today. Sure enough, after a little more walking, Danny found another prisoner sitting nearby under a tree, reading a book. A skinny looking pale guy with blue hair, but considering some of the people Danny had seen walking around, a weird hair color was barely even weird enough to notice.

From personal experience, Danny knew people who were reading books usually didn't want to get interrupted. Which was a little weird to Danny, who tended to find books pretty boring, but he could still respect that. He'd been wavering on breaking his own plans and just walking along to try to find someone else when the man stopped his reading for a moment, looked over and waved.

That was all the invitation he needed. Danny headed over, waving back, making himself smile with at least something like cheerfulness. "Hi, my name's Danny. I'm kind of new around here."

"It's not so bad, once you get used to it," said Mosquiton. "Oh, um... I'm Mosquiton. Alucard von Mosquiton."

"I guess you can get used to anything if you have enough time." Danny agreed, crossing his hands behind his head idly. Like being named Mosquiton. Well, it's still better than Inviso-Bill. "So... is your book good?"

Jaenelle had decided to stretch her legs and get some sunshine. Her daughter was out on her own again, so Jaenelle snagged her bag of embroidery and needlecraft, and headed to the park. She settled under a tree, and started to reach for her hoop, when her hand closed around the portable loom. She really did need to finish that pattern for Miyako, but... Something told her the loom was needed now. So she shrugged, got out the shuttle, and set up a new weaving.

She noticed the young man nearing as she got the last thread into place, and she glanced over at him. "Lovely day, isn't it?" Her hand passed the shuttle through the threads for the first time, and she knew why she had felt compelled to start a weaving.

He'd been a little surprised to see a woman doing what looked like embroidery, or needlepoint, or something like that. Even though his dad made a hobby of it, Danny had never really paid attention to the crafts. But when she glanced up at him, he found himself smiling back reflexively.

She had a point. It was a much better day than some of the recent ones he'd had. "Yeah. It's a pretty nice day. I'm Danny, nice to meet you. Um... what are you making?"

Jaenelle gave her best unsure-but-game smile. "I don't know yet. I just know that I need to weave. And my name is Jaenelle. It's a pleasure to meet you, Danny." She tilted her head. "If it's not too rude, how old are you?" she asked. "You seem awfully young to have so much weight on your shoulders."

Danny blinked at that answer, and felt suddenly self-conscious, rubbing the back of his neck. "Me? I'm fourteen."

As a ghost, he was used to age not really mattering, and as a kid, he was used to adults pretty much overlooking him. Still, even though she was older than him, she seemed to be open to conversation. Or at least curious. "I'm new here. I've just been having some tough times lately, but I'm doing all right."

For example, he could be dead in the town square, the way Dani had described. Compared to that, he was doing fabulous.

Fool tended to like the park. He found that it provided a calming atmosphere, which seemed especially nice after watching all of the recent chaos. He was glad enough not to have been part of things.

The small spirit lay upon the air, watching the clouds overhead. It seemed a nice enough day for that sort of thing. "Hm... Is that one supposed to be a horse or a dragon?" Fool murmured to himself.

Danny paused, stared, and blinked. Was that a toy floating in mid-air?

No... it was just another one of the weirder people around here, the ones who made flying around as Phantom totally reasonable. The tiny man looked like he was about Skulker's real size, although proportioned more normally. Danny almost felt guilty for interrupting, since the guy looked comfortable where he was, but had to at least offer a hesitant "Hi?"

Fool rolled over to look down at a boy. A faint trace of surprise showed briefly on his face, for he still wasn't used to so many people in Econtra who could see him. Either this one, too, held interest in the stage or he had abilities which allowed him to see spirits. "Hello," Fool greeted. He straightened into an upright position and bowed. "I am Fool, spirit of the stage."

Danny didn't bow back, although he nodded a little awkwardly in return. It was proportionate, anyway. The words 'spirit of the stage' were actually pretty nostalgic, like all the ghosts back in the Ghost Zone who were the representatives of time or hunting or writing or boxes or school lunchs or what-have-you. "I am Danny, spirit of the teenage kid. Nice to meet you."

So long as he didn't start flinging things around or shooting energy beams or anything, like those other types of spirits, it was nice to meet him. Danny'd had enough after the serious fight with Dani.

It had hurt.
While not being physically injured, Rei still felt the mental pain coming from that ''punishement'' Yugi had given her on that ill-fated Beyblade match. She felt a little dizzy from remembering what happened, but decided to take a walk to calm things down in her head.
Time alone was what she needed. Other people's concern was unnecessary, and she was ready to forgive him anyway.
As she saw the boy, she stopped on her tracks, wondering if she should greet and talk to him or move away; time alone was what she needed the most...right?

Seeing someone else his own age, Danny slowed and then stopped too, although close enough that conversation was still possible. The other teenager was looking unsure, so Danny spoke up first, waving slightly and trying to look friendly.

"Hi. Are you okay?" The other person looked a little off somehow. Of course, Danny was still banged up from his match with Dani, but that was all healing fast enough.

His concern was unnecessary, but showed he was a caring person, Rei judged. She only had some cleaning up to do with her mind, and, rhinking about it, perhaps she could do that through talking with him.
''Hi...and I'm alright, thank you.'', she said, her tone a little strained, but the strain barely showing up. The corner of her mouth crept up in a little smile.

Danny tried smiling back more warmly in return, to encourage her smiling. After all, people had been talking about lots of brainwashing. He couldn't be the only one who'd had a rough time in the last few days.

"Okay. You just looked a little distracted. My name's Danny, nice to meet you." He offered his hand to shake.
