Hakkai had just moved down to Dor from Loh a little over a week ago, after Gojyo had asked if he'd like to take the open space in his apartment. He had never gotten to really know either of his other roommates, and seeing as he knew both Gojyo and his roommate Skuld, it had seemed like the best idea.

Of course, living on a new floor meant seeing different people in the hallway. He found that a couple of them he recognized from other places around Econtra. But there were also plenty of new faces. He liked to at least say hello to those he met on his floor, since being polite to neighbors was one of the most basic rules of etiquette, and so it was that one day he happened to meet Kaiba Seto.

Hakkai would have been a new face if Kaiba paid that much attention. Of course, he didn't, so when the young man greeted him as they passed in the hall, Kaiba gave him only the vaguest of glances. "Hm."

"I'm sorry, I should introduce myself," Hakkai said politely. "I'm Cho Hakkai, I live in Dor-Pente. May I ask which apartment you live in?"

Kaiba paused and frowned contemplatively at Hakkai for a second, then grudgingly replied, "I'm Kaiba Seto, and I don't see how it's your business where I live."
