Kaiba didn't socialize. He didn't care for his neighbors, not since the first day he had arrived and that pest of a girl what-was-her-name had pounded on his door and dragged him to the mess hall. He certainly didn't care what had happened to the girl from so long ago, and he didn't care to repeat that experience again.
But there was nothing he could do, really, about meeting his neighbors in the hallway, except be as rude and cold as possible in the hopes that they would leave him be.
And this was exactly how he acted the day he met his neighbor Cho Hakkai.
