Maha is just passing by. egyptianmage July 29 2008, 02:57:12 UTC
Mahaado... Needed to stop wandering around like a ghost. He wasn't! He should be doing something more useful for his Pharoah or Young Master... Like trying to figure out if he should dare ask why his beloved Pharoah was sporting cat ears and a tail. Maybe he was showing his more animalistic side as a God? Regardless he continued pondering when he sensed a deck like the ones he used to reside in, aka another duelists deck. Without really thinking, maybe he forgot again that he was alive, he offered an "Please be careful apparently there was some recent unrest among the duelists."

Course he 'would' say that with his nose in a spellbook...

Upon hearing the other speak, Manjoume turned toward the source of the voice - a man who seemed rather intent on reading a book of his. There was no guarentee that he had even been talking to him; after all, it wasn't as though he hadn't spoken to enough things that most people didn't think were there in his lifetime.

But, since the man had mentioned duelists, there was always the off-chance that he was talking to him, so Manjoume replied, "What do you mean?"

"The duelist energy seems a little odd today..." he elaborated. "You are a duelist am I correct? I sense their energy from you." He closed the book with a snap, letting his tome disappear back into the typical planes it stayed. "I'd say that things are a little..." he muttered in Egyptian trying to think of the world. "Shaky?" he tried.

"Yes, I'm a duelist," Manjoume replied, purposefully not showing his surprise at the book disappearing into thin air like that. Magic and other supernatural things existed - that had been proven over and over again since his first year at Duel Academy, so what was the point of spazzing over a simple disappearing act? "And I'm still not sure what you mean by it being 'shaky', but if you mean that something dangerous is happening, I'll be careful."

After all, it wasn't as though he wasn't used to that...

Saioh was taking his afternoon. Walking the butterfly, if "walking" was the right word for something that flew and might not really need exercise anyway. The two of them both seemed to enjoy the activity, anyway, so he made it a daily exercise when the weather was fine. Saioh was in a particularly good mood today after his recent chat with Edo, and was freeling unusually kindly towards the world in general. The last thing on his mind was that someone was liable to cause him any trouble.

He would have passed by without a word. In fact, that was Manjoume's initial intention. But out of the corner of his eye, he saw another man walking by - and turning his head to confirm what he was seeing only showed that he wasn't seeing things. That hair, that face, could belong to no other.

And despite what the Kaiser had told him, that this particular version of Saiou hadn't been affected by the Light, Manjoume's instincts took over, and he gave the other a rather angry glare.

"You."

Saioh almost didn't realize he was being spoken to. He glanced around to see if there was anyone else there before fixing the other young man with a quizzical look.

"Were you addressing me?"

"Is there anyone else I would be talking to?" Manjoume asked, his tone mixed with cynicism, sarcasm, and rage only barely kept back by what the Kaiser had said floating back to his mind. Not that he believed for a second that any version of Saiou Takuma was much different than the one he knew, but he did respect the Kaiser, and if he said so, he would try to restrain himself.

Hikari was trying to escape from the horrible knitting, yet again, and Mama Jaenelle had muttered something about 'lucky no males were around', when the witch had slipped her another bottle of the brew in her pocket with a math book and told Hikari to hide. She had been been doing her best to obey that order when she saw the newcomer, and she paused some, uncertain on how to proceed. Something about him was familar. But where? How?

Out of the corner of his eye as Manjoume walked, he saw a girl who paused when she noticed him. There was little reason, he told himself, for him to pause as well - he certainly didn't recognize her.

However, his curiosity had been piqued, and he thought about that Saga Keiji person who had seemed to recognize him. (And who seemed to insist on using -chan.) That, combined with the 'different worlds' thing that everyone kept talking about, made him wonder - if there had been a different him here before, and there was no guarentee that there had been, what was he like...?

And because of that, subconsciously, he slowed down his stride and looked slightly, curiously toward the girl.

Hikari noticed him slowing down, and decided to go for it. "Excuse me, but do you know a Misawa Daichi?" Something told her that that was a clue to figuring out who he was. Something about him reminded her of the other people who played Mr. Misawa's card game.

Misawa. The Kaiser had mentioned that he was here, hadn't he. Though he hadn't seen him yet, and considered that to not be a bad thing, at least - last time he'd seen Misawa in his own world, his booksmart classmate had been running back to the Yellow dormitory for a change of clothes. Vaguely, Manjoume wondered where he'd gone from there - whether he'd made it to the infirmary, or whether he'd gotten swallowed by that again.

"Yeah," Manjoume replied. "I know a version of him, at least. Haven't talked to him here though."
