"You are new here?" Asked the man in all white with long golden hair and eyes who stood at the entrance of the Church, studying Vada. Krad often came to the Church. He enjoyed the atmosphere. One of the reasons he hated for it to be ruin. It was also one of the few places he could be called 'socialible.'

Vada looked up at the...Adonis-like person (or was he a creature?) in front of her. "Sure," she said, shrugging. Vada didn't plan on being here long, if she could help it. Wary of her surroundings and this new person, she slowly began to walk up the church steps. "What is this...place, anyway?" crossing her arms across her chest, Vada waited for an answer.

"It is a Church." Krad said, stepping out of the way for her to enter. "It is a place for people to worship and pray."

"I know what this building is," Vada snapped, stepping into the Church, finding him slightly annoying...even if he was attractive. "I also know what its use is, Einstein. I meant this place in general. Where we are."

"It's in poor repair." The flat remark was not the first indication of Cameron's presence. The cyborg had been doing nothing to mask her footsteps, having had no particular cause to sneak. The atmosphere suggested general forthrightness was more useful anyway. People seemed jumpy.

"Someone decided they wanted to break things," she added by way of explanation as she came up beside the girl, leveling an impassively considering gaze on the structure.

Vada raised an eyebrow at the girl who had come up next to her. Her body automatically tensing, her sense of smell kicked into overdrive -- this girl, was not human. Not in the way Vada wasn't completely human, but more like a robot. Was that even possible? Taking a moment to process what she had said, Vada turned back with scorn to look at the church. "Obviously, they don't care about religion. Why else would they choose a church to destroy instead of another random building?" She didn't really care much, but she felt that maybe just walking away from this situation would be a bit more rude than necessary, so she decided to try and make some...small attempt at conversation.

"Maybe they care very much about religion," Cameron suggested. She canted her head slightly, a birdlike gesture indicating something akin to curiosity, and studied Vada with expressionless intensity. "Malicious destruction to strike out against what the building stands for. It is not uncommon behavior."

Vada thought to herself that this...person...next to her just was getting more and more weird. "Um, sure. Whatever you say." Vada knew a lot about behavior and normal versus abnormal, since hell, that was all part of their training at Manticore. The more she stood next to her, the more Vada thought this girl smelled like a machine. She couldn't hear a heartbeat with her enhanced hearing, and it was beginning to creep her out -- just slightly.

The Shinrabanshou was bored of sitting around and had decided to go out for a little walk. There were new people about and some of them might even be interesting to talk to. It found Vada near the church and decided that she would be better conversation than none.

"This one is a bit run down, Vada. More than a bit, actually. Got a bit more destroyed not too long ago. Two people decided to take their annoyance out on the building and it got rather... trashed." The Shinrabanshou had floated up behind her, feet not touching the ground and thus making no noise.

Vada...How had this thing known her name? Turning around to face it, Vada clenched her teeth and balled her hands into fists at her side. "I don't recall ever telling anyone my name here, or meeting you whatever you are." sneering a little, she looked the Shinrabanshou over with some distain. "I don't really care who or what happened to this place, anyway. I just need to find a roof to put over my head for the night before I leave this dump," turning away, she began to walk towards the cemetery.

The Shinrabanshou smiled a bit. So it had finally found someone who it could piss off with just a few words. How fun. "You won't find any place to stay over there. You'll be assigned a room to stay in within a day or two, and that's where you'll stay. As for your name..." it laughed a bit. "I took it from your mind. We've never met before. You're a new arrival after all."

"Yeah, got it. You're some freakish android, aren't you. Programed to find all the X-5's and harass us?" unconsciously, she reached to the back of her neck and flattened her hand against her bar code...as if covering it would make it disappear. "Yes, I am new. What the fuck do you care?" turning back around, Vada began to walk away, while she imagined herself beating this thing to a pulp.

Vada whirled around and swung her right arm up in a defensive stance, instinctively not trusting whomever it was behind her. Semi-guarding her face with her arm, Vada narrowed her eyes as she took in the...person?...in front of her. "I'm fine. Just looking for a place to spend the night, a roof to put over my head. And figure out a way to leave this place. Why?" raising her chin, Vada listened closely to hear if this guy really was a human. Something about him didn't settle right with her, he reminded her too much of the guards of Manticore -- goddamn government agents -- for her to let down her guard at all.

"So I've been hearing. Why does everyone want to help me? What is this place, fucking share time all the goddamn time?" it was beginning to irritate her. Vada was used to having to fend for herself, not depend on anyone at all in order to get what she needed or wanted. She didn't take offers of help well either, since at Manticore it had been drilled into them that offers of help -- asking or offering -- was considered weakness and would only lead to vulnerability and possibly death.
