today, i went on an adventure all by myself. every year (or at least for the past couple of years) several yarn stores in the Puget Sound area organize a Local Yarn Shops Tour. the event runs for four days. all the participating stores give away a free pattern (and sometimes other gifts), offer a 10% discount on the yarn that's associated with

yeah, it's a nice pattern. and free! i might just have to splurge on the second skein of the yarn, so i can make the big one.

Wow, I would have loved to have been on that trip with you. I've told mel about wool and we'll see what we can do. He loves to spin silk, yak, camel and other fun things.
