Very good! Congrats! It was odd watching you do this by word count, as that's something that would be meaningless in my work. Like.. I've got (N-[2-Hydroxyethyl]piperazine-N'[2-ethanesulfonic acid[) which..counts as one word in Word. :)

My thesis ended up being 141 single-sided, double-spaced 12pt foint pages of actual writing. Still.. its done!

Somethign that drove me crazy was keeping the table of contents updated correctly. I made one change to something, the page numbers would alter and I'd have to go back and fix it all.

yeah, most of my words are pretty "normal". mostly, the word counts were just a way to track progress. they don't really mean anything.

i'm rolling somewhere around 118 (120 if you count the French version of the abstract...which i don't have yet), not counting references and yada yada. i've been worried that the whole deal would end up a little short (the three PhD theses that i read from RK's previous student were all around or over 200), but i figure that as long as it over 100 pages, i'm good.

yeah, i'm not looking forward to keeping the TOC correct. especially since everything is currently in separate files right now, but i'll have to compile it all into a single document for electronic submission.

Isn't the snow pretty? I had to go to class this morning because we had a presentation to make and our paper to hand in, but it was fairly easy to get there and come back with the bus. Now I'm resting very comfortably at home. :)
