I can't imagine going through that just to get groceries in the house. I probably bring in 7 or 8 bags a week, sometimes more. Spawn lives on the 3rd floor with no elevator...I've often thought about what a hassle getting groceries to her apartment is.

i've never learned how to shop for less than a week at a time, so i tend to be hauling in 7 or 8 bags myself. working on a plan to see if i can reduce that volume a little, but we'll see. i am very grateful for the elevator. the last apartment i lived in didn't have one, but i only lived on the second floor. i imagine my next place probably won't have an elevator again (judging by the building i've seen where i plan to move). wa!

The car to fridge routine with the shopping is kinda sucky though. my grocery shop usually only entails 6 carrier bags, *most* of the time i can pick up 3 in each hand and manfully (yeah, right!) carry em to my door. fortunately im on the ground floor and the kitchen is almost next to front door.
um.. im not sure exactly how that info will enrich your life, but there ya go!

sometimes i do the "buff girl" routine myself, but then i have to put them down in order to unlock the outside door (secured building) anyway....and it all depends on how much heavy stuff i've purchased. if i'm in the mood for tomato soup or pickles or anything like that....
