Other than Christmas with the family, and my dad's birthday surprise party last Saturday, there wasn't much going on. I didn't get to see Jeff or Shawn. Shawn and Lisa became parents of a baby girl in November.
My dad's actual birthday was Tuesday. My sister and my younger niece Elissa came with us to Claim Jumper. The biggest surprise is that none other than Rick G. also came to dinner and then back to my parents for some beers and some catching up. He is doing well, and has a full time teaching gig at Diablo Valley College in San Ramon. No more part-time framing jobs for him. And he has a girlfriend, a woman named Lori who he's pursued for SEVEN years. Sometimes perseverance pays off.
Or she got tired of being stalked. Hehe. Well, good for him and Shawn and Lisa. I don't know if you read my journal ever, but I'm 9 weeks preggers. Doing it the right way this time. Heh.
