it's very catchy, but the opening verse doesn't resonate with me too much. the chorus i love!

That's a good question. Probably as a b-side on the 'easy' single/ep. Definitely a b side... and it can be found on the double cd 'who cares a lot' best of thingy.

Or just download it.

Shit, this is going to take me hours... right...

  • Hefner - Hello Kitten. I never get bored of this song, the jaunty hand claps, the fantastic lyric, the fact that it's unashamedly about masturbation... I've recommended it to so many people, and they've all loved it (or they tell me that they did, anyway).

  • Spiritualized - Broken Heart. The song that can reduce me to a gibbering wreck of snotty tears with the opening violins. The ultimate heartbreak song.

  • Billy Bragg - Saturday Boy. Reminds me of so so so many good times and not so good times, and of a friend at uni having to look up the meaning of the word 'unrequited'. I can't help but smile when I hear it.

  • The Smiths - Reel Around the Fountain. I knew I needed a Smiths song in here, but it was really hard to pick which one. But I love the line "two lumps please, you're the bees knees but so am I", so I've gone for this one.

  • Stone Roses - Fools Gold. I have a real thing about guitar bands playing dance music - I love this for the same reason that I love Columbia ( ... )

fuckin' brilliant! i'd love to hear #1 and #3, as i'm not familiar with them. i've not been big into Spiritualized, but this sounds intriguing.
