defending my fandom

I have a new layout! It's incredibly temporary however, because while I like the physical layout itself (minty_peach is made of win), I'm not crazy about the colours. And while I really love the header, it wasn't really what I was looking for. I'd mess with the colours, because that's easy enough to do, but I like them to match the header, and I don't have a ( Read more... )

Yay layout twins!

Personally, I'm really looking forward to Eleven. But then I haven't really been into DW for long (since about June this year). I get that it's really major for most people though.

Oh, I'll be posting my new Ianto/Gwen fic in a little while!

Hee! I need to change the colours though, grey & green are not very pretty.

I am excited, actually. I was really hoping they'd stick with a younger Doctor (though I wasn't expecting that young, but that's okay), because the Doctor has always seemed to get younger with each regeneration. So, yeah. Mostly, this entry was for the people outside the Doctor Who fandom who're making fun of the "wank". That.. really upset me.

YAY!!! You know if you ever want to run any Ianto/Gwen by me before posting or whatever, I'm available, haha. I've got a few different ideas running through my head myself, actually.

Yay for Ianto/Gwen. I have a feeling the people on my f-list won't like this, but I really hope you do.

My biggest concern for 11 remains what kind of companion he will be teamed with. Loving Donna as much as I did, it makes me somewhat sad to know what they cannot team him with someone that old. My vote is for Jenny, barring that it's time for a male companion.

Mm, I agree. Cailin and I were discussing that last night - now the Doctor will look about the same age as his companion, and how that's going to work out.

I actually kind of wish that he'd have mulitple companions, like in the original series. I know they've done that for whenever Jack's around, but I mean more permanently (or, about as permanent as Who can get).

I'm...yeah. I haven't watched the Confidential yet, but I'm a little annoyed at people who are angry at the casting of Matt. We know nothing of him, we haven't seen him yet, and David likes him. Shouldn't that be enough? I mean, I'm the biggest David/Ten fan you can think of, or at least close to it, and I'm willing to embrace Matt/Eleven with open arms. I just don't understand why it has to be a big deal - it's not like David was going to stay forever. This is how Who is and how it'll always be - we will never, ever have one single Doctor throughout a whole generation. People need to learn to deal with that.

Ugh, this cold is making me bitchy.

You know I agree, we absolutely need to see Eleven before any judgements are made.

But really what's upsetting me is, as I told you, the people who're all "LOL look at the Doctor Who fandom blow up." Um, we have a right to, this is a major thing. It be like if they decided to recast Harry Potter for every movie instead of letting Daniel grow with the part.
