Marit and I are getting married! I went out to visit her for her boot camp graduation and asked her and she said yes (as if there was any doubt). I'll post more when I can kind of compose it in my mind...I'm such a mess from just getting back and just being so sad at having to say goodbye again for another two months that I'm not worth much now ( Read more... )

Marit should graduate from her boot camp a week from Friday barring anything bad happening, which at this point is unlikely. By now she's been through all the credible threats to her graduation...the physical fitness test, the rifle range, various uniform and personal gear inspections, etc. All that's really left for her are some knowledge tests ( Read more... )

I FINALLY got all my Air Force stuff tied up. I got to keep my rank and will stay in my job field, so that's all good news. I've been working at Arby's to get a little money coming in until I can line up the stars to get the AF money really rolling in well. Man...that place sucks SOOOOO much. I can't wait to quit. So, it appears I wasn't so good a school afterall. That's what appears to be the case, since I failed out of K-State after a semester of rocking and rolling over every academic challenge presented to me. Manhattan is a good place for us. We moved out here after I got back from the little desert in July. I had missed living in a town that didn't exist solely to support a university. The food isn't as good though. We miss La Parilla and Silas and Maddy's, but we do have the Rock-a-Belly Deli and Bob's Diner. But...if anyone out there has to move ( Read more... )
