Season Six Character Thoughts

So, I've seen all three of the season six episodes and I think that they've got themselves back on track. The third episode had none of the awkwardness of the first two, and felt as if they were starting all over from season one, almost, but with everything backwards. It makes for an interesting twist, I know, but has anybody else have daydreams of ( Read more... )

I was spoiled early on by watching a Jared interview, about how Sam's become so much colder this season. And it makes me sad and kind of want to cry. Because I miss his puppy dog eyes and his heart of gold.

I really hope that we do get him back this season. I understand why he's shut himself down. I mean, he spent his entire life (and the 5 years we've seen of it) always trying to do the right thing, trying to do good and be good. And it just ended up with him getting screwed over by both sides, and then stuck in the cage with two pissed off archangels who would have liked nothing more than to torture him for eternity in the most horrible, unimaginable ways possible. So now he's just doing things the best way he knows how, shutting down all emotions. Doesn't mean I like it. I want smishible Sammy back.

I have been ranting and raving about how I want to kill the Campbell's slowly and painfully. Torturously. So much so, that I believe all of my friends are sick of hearing me talk. I don't like them. I don't trust them. And I think Sam ( ... )

Rant and rave all you want! I don't get to talk about my favorite show with many people at all. I agree that no one really gets what Sam has been through, especially not the Lucifer thing. Bobby tried to get Dean to see it once, in that episode where Death gave them his ring, but it didn't really hit him until this season, I think.

And I love Sammy! Sammy haters obviously completely misunderstand him. He is the perfect example of trying to do the right thing in every shitty situation that could possibly not go his way. I thnk that's where I relate to him the most. Everyone has hard descions in life, and its even harder to live with them with everyone judging you and telling you how wrong you are at every turn.

And I like your point about why Sam chose to follow the Cambells. He's always had a partner with hunting, and its easy to see he can't stand being alone, even went so far as to hunt with Ruby while Dean was gone in Hell.

Thanks for replying! (Especially so much!)

Exactly! I think people forget that Sam needs Dean someone just as much as Dean does. He doesn't want to be alone. Hell, he made it through 4 months without Dean when Dean barely made it 3 days before selling his soul. People need to give him a little credit.
