It's interesting to hear that someone spoke of me, but I'm glad it was positive enough to make you curious. It may have been about my writing, which you can find at writingbyebonio. Most of it is dark, mind you, but some people seem to like it. ;)

Welcome to LJ and Fandom and all that. And do let me know if you'd like a native speaker or something to beta (proofread/edit) a story or something. I have time on occasion to do such things. :)

Hi! I've been reading and commenting on your fic for a while now so it seemed an appropriate time to friend you.

This whole lj thing is a bit of a black hole to me so I'm not entirely comfortable about telling people that I've friended them. It sort of seems a bit demanding (and rude?) to tell people I've done it. I suppose I don't expect to be friended back, which is cool, 'cos I can't imagine how anyone keeps up with all their friends. I don't have that many and I have a tough time touching base with everyone. Hmmm, please excuse my existential angst.

PS I can squee and fangirl and write darkdarkfic with the best of them but this all sort of touched a thing I've been pondering a lot lately. Lj friending is a very alien concept and I'm clearly not doing it right. I was a lot more comfortable on lists back in the day but the world changes and one has to go with the flow!

Oh, honey, no worries. I've friended you back since I've seen you around. I admit that the LJ world is quite second-nature to me most times, though, so don't worry over asking me anything. I know some people don't like to be "told" that they've been friended, but it's something I prefer, so I state it up front and hope that people brave the comment box and drop me a line, which you did splendidly.

So ... I'll just say "welcome to my lair" and feel free to have a look around. I haven't posted much of interest lately, but there are a few interesting discussions a click or so back about darkfic and my other fandom/writerly interests, if that would be of interest to you. :-)

I look forward to delving inside your brain! Darkfic is a great love of mine so I look forward to discussion of the topic. Oddly, I do manage to freak myself out from time to time if I start thinking about how other people might view my reading tastes.
