On Thursday, Nelson Mandela died. That day, Texan Senator Ted Cruz posted a tribute to Mandela on his Facebook page. Many of his followers posted comments in support and solidarity, as is to be expected. But some of them went, well, guanoloco. Here is an article on the subject from Daily Kos.

I have a couple of people on my FB feed that I seriously wonder how they got there. One in particular that just HATES Obama at a pathological level. I periodically think about unFriending her, but then I would no longer see where this stuff comes from.

She will repost ANYTHING if it is anti-Obama... no matter how ridiculous. It's fascinating. She hasn't mentioned Mandela, though. I think she is much too focused on Obama to even know Mandela existed.

of course, Madiba *was* a terrorist and criminal under the Botha regime. Just as our Founding Fathers were terrorists according to George III.
We can see where history places Madiba's determination, courage, and especially, forgiveness. Botha does not come off so well.
