The meeting last night went really well. I’m highly qualified for the program. My transcripts have all the courses they’re looking for, which is surprising considering that I took almost all of them at random. The only thing I’m possibly missing is 3 credit hours of speech, but I’m hoping they’ll count my Spanish Oral course for that. Thankfully, ( Read more... )

The book was $117.00 new! What the hell?!? Thank you! That would be nice. It sounds pretty good to me too. :)

Totally. You would think that too, but no. What makes the books so pricey is that everyone insists on using the newest edition all the time instead of ordering an earlier edition, which could be found cheaper used. It's ridiculous because the newest edition usually only has minor corrections to it. It's not like they're adding new chapters or anything half the time. I can see maybe updating a history or sociology textbook often, but a basic math book? What changes there? It's not like 2+2 suddenly equals 3, you know?
