Sylvia's not a big visual artist at this point. She doesn't seem to enjoy drawing or coloring very much, and I haven't really encouraged it (ie., pushed it) so far. My kid was really crabby today for no apparent reason, which sucked. Then late in the afternoon all three of us lay on the bed and played with a tarantula puppet, who was desperately trying to bite the kid's naked butt (she was wearing a pair of socks and nothing else). My friends are currently in an obstetric situation that is reminding me of how uncertain the course of pregnancy and childbirth really is. Matt Groening just came into my shop right before closing and bought a stack o' zines and books. I totally, completely geeked out and made him do a sketch for me, and then we chatted for a few minutes about Futurama and the hypnotoad and how awesome Oly is and the zine scene and then I recommended a good Thai restaurant.
