[Souji looks like he hasn't slept in several days. He's sitting on the floor in a hallway with his sword propped against the wall beside him.]

We need to figure out who's still alive and who the wolves are.

[His eyes flicker down to the side, then he turns the feed private.]

Minato picked up his sword and entered the nearest unoccupied room with Souji. Asking the closet for a scalpel was the easy part. The next part was getting the bullet out of Souji.]

Can you sit for this?

[Souji nods, sitting on the edgoe of the rickety bed, and taking off his jacket and shirt.]

[Souji already knew that this was going to hurt if he had done it before, and thus Minato hadn't bothered to tell him to brace himself. This had to be done quickly, but also carefully.

Minato had a small towel on the bed with a scalpel and tweezers set on it. He felt along where Souji had shown him before where the bullet was. Once he found it, then he made the incision with the scalpel and through the magic of RP and with the help of those tweezers too, extracted the bullet from out of Souji's shoulder.

Then Minato summoned Messiah to cast Salvation to heal Souji. Having healing powers was so useful and convenient, and he didn't want to take them for granted. He was just extremely thankful to have them.]

[Souji nods his thanks, wiping away the blood that had dripped down his arm before pulling his shirt and jacket back on. He wraps his hand around the hilt of his sword, but doesn't stand up yet.]

I need to find Kanji.

[Minato wrapped the scalpel, tweezers, and the bullet in the towel he had prepared so he could dispose of it. He checked over Souji one more time to make sure that he was completely healed. Minato nodded. Right, Souji should go find his other friends too.]

Where's Yousuke?

[Souji stills, except his grip on his sword, which tightens until his knuckles turn white. He doesn't look up.]

He died.

[Minato also stilled, standing by the bed, unmoving. He didn't have to ask how. All of that, as important as it was, could be answered later. There was a lot he could say or address despite how soft-spoken or quiet he was, there was a lot that had gone through his mind. Yet it was as though all of his strength had disappeared, and he could only imagine what Souji had been feeling.

All that could come out right now was nothing more than a whisper.]

[Souji shakes his head and doesn't say anything else. As skilled as he is at being expressionless, he doesn't trust his voice right now.]

[And only moments earlier had they exchanged words, like any other conversation that would have had. Souji had known all along too.

Minato nodded once, then after another quiet moment, he carefully got his arms around Souji, hugging him. Souji had done the same for him when he needed it. Perhaps he could have done more for him as his senpai, and should have done more, so much more. But this was the first thing that came to mind, instinctual and, originating from somewhere deep and distant in his memories, natural.]

[People don't hug Souji often. For a second, he's not sure what to do, but then he leans into it.

He doesn't cry, though his breath is unsteady. He doesn't speak either, because he knows his voice will be worse.]

[Minato held onto Souji, letting him do whatever it was he needed or wanted to. It was secure enough to reassure Souji that he wasn't going anywhere and that once Souji was ready, he could pull away. There didn't need to be any words for this. There wasn't anything else that he could say right now. Even though he knew that they could only go forward from here, it was actually doing that that was going to be the harder part.]

[It's a couple minutes before Souji sits back and looks up at Minato.]

I killed Adachi. [His voice is as neutral as ever, but he takes no pleasure in this. If anything, it's almost as bad as Yousuke dying.]

[The fact that he was dead didn't come as a surprise. Minato nodded. He knew Souji, and trusted his judgment, or at least, could understand why it had to happen. This was the event, and more than that, this involved Yousuke, his best friend. What's done was done. ... He only hoped it wasn't capitalized upon after this event was over.]

Where's Yousuke now?
