...someone said they were going to get you back by taking on the Deities. I'm assuming it might be... Gateau? I never asked his name, but I'm worried about him.

Gateau was there, in their living room. The books had been cleared in record time and what remained were weapons, and charms against magic. Lots of them. It wasn't hard to guess what Gateau was thinking.

He hadn't slept since the curse had began, but it didn't matter. He was plagued by visions of what could be happening to Marron.

Marron frowned in worry as he shut the door behind him to announce his arrival. Then he was rushing over to where Gateau was.

"Gateau...what are you doing?"

Gateau paused and looked to him, eerily calm.

"Marron." It was an acknowledgement of his presence, but it wasn't really there, yet. He turned back to his preparations.

"I am preparing to take on the Sorcerers, of course."

"Gateau." He knew the Deities weren't Sorcerers. It was another battle entirely. But the way Gateau had looked at him...

Moving around in front of him to block his path, he placed his hands on his boyfriend's chest.

"Gateau, I'm here. Don't do this."
