I first read an iteration of this story in a collection of Tibetan folktales edited by Sandra Benson. The title of the collection is Tales from the Golden Corpse. Some birthday or Christmas in the past few years, my parents got me the DVD set of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. I hadn't had a chance to watch any of it yet, but today I had a yen, so I popped in the first DVD, on which the first offering is "The Frog Prince."
