ok, just posted about the great amwell art exhibitionthis i learnt of on wednesday last from a colleague at art soc. the very same art soc meeting which was the society's agm. it was an interesting and friendly evening *smile* only a handful of us brought work done over the summer in (compared to other 'in house' exhibitions), but it was nice to ( Read more... )

at the weekend, i submitted a couple of pictures to great amwell art exhibition.

the exhibtion (a bi-annual aevent) is currently on at great amwell parish hall - well signposted at the roundabout as you come off the A10 for ware/harlow - 10am til 5pm, today (thursday) through til sunday.

last week at art soc was a workshop facilitated by laura reiter on abstract using mixed media. it was interesting, and our results were pleasing to the eye. i found that i was a bit nonplussed - abstract not being something i find hard to contemplate, attempt, or create *grin* her style is a bit 'fluffy' for me, tho i think will appeal to/interest ( Read more... )

i've just noticed this exhibtion, Kandinsky: The Path to Abstraction 1908-1922, gracing the tate modern between 22 June and 1 October 2006. *grin*

i'm also looking forward to Undercover Surrealism - Picasso, Miró, Masson and the vision of Georges Bataille, at the hayward gallery soon - 11 May 'til 30 July 2006. *smile*
