People were accusing Avatar of being like Dances With Wolves, but that movie was based on a real phenomenon referred to as "going native." Avatar was stealing from reality! Damn you, James Cameron!
Likewise, Brave just deals with themes of sexism in tradition -- something I'm sure many young women can be interested in! it's another timeless theme, unfortunately. When I wrote about stupid people winning, I should have mentioned female authors having to use male pen names (or reducing their first names to initials) to sell their books. Fortunately that doesn't happen much anymore, I don't think. Er, I think that's a tangent, so bye!
