I have to disagree. Making an effort to impress women and have them find you attractive is not at all underhanded. It's what we do, in every species on the planet. We all perform some sort of ritual or ceremony to emphasize the parts of us that the other gender of our kind pay attention to. Be that brute strength, the ability to hunt or a lovely display of feathers. Why? Simple. You have like.. 5 minutes to make an initial impression. You can be witty, charming and all that, but how you appear initially is what she's going to think your entire life is, and by nature will focus on the negative aspects of it before the positive. Everything else can come after. If anything, by not trying to do such things, you're cheating yourself
